Silent Hill: Book of Memories to miss March 27 release
Konami has confirmed to RipTen that Silent Hill: Book of Memories has been delayed, and will no longer release on March 27. Various retailers have a placeholder set for May 31, which oddly enough is a Thursday. Konami hasn’t provided a new release date, and has said to “stay tuned for a more formal announcement.” This this the second delay for the game, which was originally scheduled for release alongside Vita’s launch in February.

Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition hitting consoles through digitaldownload
Konami has announced Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition will be released through PSN, WiiWare, and XBLA this spring. Outed by the Australian Classifications Board last month, the game contains the core Frogger mechanics, but adds “new content and ideas” such as the new gaming modes: Tile Capture, Battle Royale, Freak Out and “more.” Players can also customize the game experience through a variety of skins such as the “modern neon style of Hyper Arcade” to 8-bit sprites from the original Frogger, classic Castlevania titles, and even Contra. The game also contains four-player matches so you an friends can figure out who is the best at dodging semis, compact cars, and eating flies off gator backs.

MGS HD Collection Vita gets first shots, cloud saves
Konami’s released the first shots of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PlayStation Vita following the announcement of a summer launch in Europe and a release date in Japan and first footage of it in action. The publisher’s also confirmed it’ll introduce something called Title User Storage, meaning if you save it to the cloud, you can access it on PS3 without Transfarring over WiFi.

Silent Hill HD Collection releasing March 29
Konami has confirmed the Silent Hill HD Collection will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 29. The collection includes Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams and Silent Hill 3, with a re-recorded soundtrack and dialogue reuniting the original vocal artists. The included version of Silent Hill 2 also features the exclusive stages from the original Director’s Cut supplemental release. The firm also released a new video for it which is posted below.

PES 2012 to get free DLC update next week
Konami’s announced a free DLC update for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 will drop next Tuesday, March 6 for PSN, PC and XBL. The patch will include the latest rosters following the January transfer window, new kits for the Spanish, Japanese and German national sides, eight new boot styles from Adidas and Nike and the matchball that’ll be used in this year’s Champions League final.
