Metal Gear Solid 5 and its open world releasing on Xbox One
The Microsoft Xbox One E3 press conference started off with a video for Metal Gear Solid 5. Showing Snake in Afghanistan traversing through an open world. It promises the “next generation of stealth”; dynamic CQC and it the video showed new characters in the game all to a tune which sounded straight from a James Bond film. There’s a tag line in it about men becoming demons, and there looks to be African kids trapped in a jail holding out diamonds in their hands. We’ll have the video up as soon as we get it. Kojima cam out on stage to talk about showing more later. A release date has yet to be announced.

Contra: Shattered Soldier coming to US PS Store this week
Side-scrolling PS2 classic Contra: Shattered Soldier will release in this week’s North American PlayStation Store update. According to the PlayStation Blog, two-player co-op has survived the port although it’s not clear whether there’ll be online support in addition to local play. Other new releases this week include Pirates: Legend of the Black Buccaneer and a demo for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance releasing digitally on PC “soon”
Konami has announced Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released on PC, and according to the press release, it will run at a “blistering 60fps” on most modern PCs. It will release digitally “soon.” Kojima said as much last month. The game is already available on Ps3 and Xbox 360.
