Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released on PC, according to Hideo Kojima speaking during his HideRadio podcast. Platinum Games creative producer Jean Pierre Kellams also confirmed the news on Twitter. Konami has announced it will stream its pre-E3 presenataion, in which Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Metal Gear Solid 5, Pro Evolution Soccer, and a number of “additional key announcements” will be highlighted.

Konami has posted its financial results for the year ending March 31, 2013 posting an overall decrease in net revenues of 15% year-over-year to ¥2.3 billion ($23 million). However, its Digital Entertainment division posted an increase of 17.1% year-over- year of ¥1.5 billion ($15 million) compared to ¥1.2 billion ($12 million) the prior year.

Konami has struck a deal with the Asian Football Confederation to bring the AFC Champions League into future Pro Evolution Soccer games. The Asian league will appear in a dedicated game mode, with players able to select one of the league’s 32 teams and battle it out for the cup. Both the AFC and Konami expressed their glowing admiration for each other and the PES franchise in a press release. The AFC draws on 46 member associations, and is itself one of the six global members of FIFA.

There’s no word on a PAL territory release yet, but Konami will bring Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection to North and South America in a few months.

An actor is going to appear in Metal Gear Solid 5 as “the one you thought I would be from the start”, apparently. If this were any other game, I’d probably bury this story in so much salt just looking at it would close your arteries.

Here’s an interesting little blip; Kojima Productions has hired Jordan Amaro, formerly of the IGDA, 2K Czech and Crytek UK, as a designer on Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The young developer has credits as a level mission designer on an unannounced 2K Czech game – presumably Mafia 3 – and as a designer on Homefront 2. He joined Kojima productions in March; it’s not clear how senior his role is. MGS 5: The Phantom Pain is expected on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, although nobody knows when or whether it will come to other formats or even how many games it is.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection has appeared on the Korean Game Rating board’s website. Along with a piece of art tweeted by one Hideo Kojima, it could contain the first Metal Gear Solid, right through to Peace Walker.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance developer Platinum Games will release its JetStream Sam DLC today on PS3 and Xbox 360. The content lets you play as the game’s boss in a new mini-campaign and should be rolling out in your territory from today.
