Gamigo and RealU have released the fourth making-of video for the MMO Otherland. In the video, Tad Williams shows off the Five Isle world which is comprised of five floating islands, each representing one of the five Chinese elements. It features Victorian architecture, large chess pieces floating around the sky, White and Red Armies waging “an endless war against one another,” and other cool things. The video discusses the lifecycle AI of NPCs, which contain their own behavioral patterns are influenced, to an extent, by player interaction. Watch below. The UE3-powered MMORPG is out sometime this year.

Gamigo and RealU have released a video detailing the medieval simulation EightSquared in a new making of feature for Otherland: Green Fields. The world, created by Tad Williams, features Victorian architecture with gigantic chess pieces floating around in the sky while the White and Red Armies wage an endless war against one another. The video also has some insight into the Lifecycle AI of NPC which have their their own behavioral patterns that can be influenced to an extent by player interaction. Watch below. Gamingo has announced the first phase of closed beta testing of UFO Online – Fight for Earth will end today, January 17. Feedback from testing will be implemented into the free-to-play, turn-based strategy MMO through its developer, Funatics. The second phase of beta testing will be announced soon.
