Western Ninja Blade demo – first 11 minutes in video

The western Ninja Blade demo’s to be released on March 9, but Microsoft let us have it yesterday, being the benevolent soul that it is. Find a grab of the first 11 minutes after the break, including half of a whopping boss battle. Be warned: we’re quite bad at it.
The From Software actioner bears more than a passing resemblance to Ninja Gaiden, but doesn’t appear to suffer from the same camera horrors, which is nice. And it looks amazing, to be fair.
There’s lots of QTE in there, though, as you’ll know if you had a waz on the Japanese demo at the end of last year.
Take a look. It’s out in Europe on April 3.

Asian Ninja Blade released in English, region-free

The Asian version of From Software’s Ninja Blade’s been released, says Siliconera, and it’s region-free. And in English.
You should, therefore, buy it. Don’t think. Thinking won’t get you anywhere. Buying Ninja Blade will.
Thanks, Kotaku.

TGS: Tenchu 4 gets hands-on and screens
1UP’s posted up a new hands-on with Tenchu 4 from Tokyo, which goes nicely with these new screens on IGN.
It is what it is. And what it is is ninjas on Wii. Snip:
What’s new for Tokyo Game Show? Everything. Motion controls to perform moves like neck-snapping, drowning, and garotting are only part of the fun. Every little detail, like shaking the Wii Remote left and right (with accompanying sword clash sounds) to cycle between game modes and menu options are nicely manicured, and it’s obvious that Acquire are thrilled to be back in control of their baby.
Read and see.

Ninja Blade gets shaky-cammed pre-TGS
After the break. Not being funny, but to say Ninja Gaiden was an “influence” on this is putting it mildly.
There are three videos there. The majority of the first one’s an inventory screen, from the look of it. The second one’s fighting. The third one’s the ninja sliding down the side of a building and fighting a massive spider while doing QTEs.
Seriously, his hat even looks the same. See for yourself. Thanks, Blerk.

Demon’s Souls announced for PS3 ahead of TGS
Famitsu’s published the first screens and details of From Software’s Demon’s Souls for PS3, as you can see on Gamekyo.
Looks funky. The RPG is presumably one of games Sony said yesterday it was to announce at Tokyo Game Show later this month.
Look at sketchy pictures of magazine pages through the link. Thanks, Blerk.

Ninja Blade 12 hours long, demo being considered
IGN’s posted a chat with From Software producer Masanori Takeuchi about Ninja Blade, the 360 action title announced in Microsoft’s Japanese press conference this morning.
There’s quite a bit of detail in there: the playable ninja character’s called Ken, the game’s about 12 hours long and the team’s “definitely considering” a demo.
Fancy. Game’s out next spring.

Ninja Blade trailer shown in Microsoft Japan press conference
Microsoft’s shown a very short but very cool trailer of From Software’s Ninja Blade as part of this morning’s Japanese Xbox 360 conference.
Watch it on Gamersyde. No date on this yet. Thanks, Blerk.
