Nick Channon, FIFA 14 producer, has told VG247′s Sam Clay that it’s rather nice for the series to have become part of the “fabric of football.” He also said EA is proud of the fact it can connect the game’s users to the real sport. Listen to your man speak about it himself below. FIFA 14 is out September 24 in the US and September 27 in the UK on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be released on PS4 and Xbox One as well. EA Sports announced a partnership today with Xbox One, but didn’t go into details on what it was – likely it has to do with exclusive content for its UFC, NBA Live, and Madden licenses. The firm announced today that FIFA 14 Ultimate Team would launch on Xbox One exclusively, so the partnerships is likely more incentives such as this; however, the games will also be released on PS4, but whether versions for Sony’s console will also contain exclusive content remains to be seen.

NBA Live 14 has been announced for next-generation consoles by Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen. The news was revealed as part of his talk during the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference today. The game is set for release later this year, and may be part of the new Xbox console reveal today, if NBA Live tweets are any indication. NBA Live 13 was set to be the latest game in the series, slated for last fall, but was ultimately cancelled by EA with the promise the franchise would return in 2013. Thanks, Polygon.
