Battlefield 4 will release on October 29 and will be made available on Xbox One, EA has announced. The release date covers current-gen and PC, and those who pre-order will nab the China Rising Expansion Pack. Players will “fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment.” Sounds lovely. NBA Live 14 has been announced for next-generation consoles by Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen. The news was revealed as part of his talk during the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference today. The game is set for release later this year, and may be part of the new Xbox console reveal today, if NBA Live tweets are any indication. NBA Live 13 was set to be the latest game in the series, slated for last fall, but was ultimately cancelled by EA with the promise the franchise would return in 2013. Thanks, Polygon.

The Sims 3: Island Paradise is out next month, and EA has released a video walkthrough for the expansion in which the producer introduces you to the sunny shores and glistening waters of Isla Paradiso. Sims can build and customize houseboats and resorts, and scuba dive to explore the ocean floor. The Sims 3: Island Paradise will be made available on June 25.

The ancient Gree starship, Gray Secant, is returning to Ilum May 21-28, and will provide SWTOR players with some nifty rewards such as unique armor, pets, weapons, and the like. Players will earn Reputation points has they “fight the Gree’s grand mission,” and players level 45 and over can jump into the event before it returns at level 55 in the future. Crysis 3 may be getting some multiplayer DLC, should some new Achievements which have come to light be any indication. According to Xbox 360 Achievements, the content comes with four maps: Ascent, Coastline, Creek, and Crossing. It also contains the modes Frenzy and Team Possession, the later of which is said to contain flag points. A new weapon called the boat oar will apparently be included as well, due to the Achievement listing: Totally Oarsome – Get a kill with a boat Oar (Public Match only). While Xbox 360 Achievements is pretty much spot on with these things, nothing is official yet as neither Crytek nor EA have announced the DLC. Thanks, Joystiq.
