EA lays-off internal analysis and reviews team
A source close to Game Informer, and a number of various tweets, have confirmed another round of lay-offs at EA. Those cut worked at the company’s internal analysis and reviews team. The team was responsible for studying Metacritic trends and providing “critical response before titles get in the hands of journalists,” according to GI. It’s unknown how many people were let go but according to Polygon the number was less than 20 employees.

EA: Nintendo needs to “sell more boxes” before publisher can return to Wii U
EA Labels president Frank Gibeau has stated that Nintendo needs to sell more Wii U consoles in order for the company to start producing games for it once more. Despite having four titles out on Nintendo’s console, Gibeau has said they haven’t sold well, confirming it’s a matter of monetary return for the publisher.

Console wars may be fun for fanboys and girls, and annoying to some; but in all it’s good for the industry, thinks EA’s Peter Moore. So much so, that if Microsoft and Sony weren’t duking it out at retail, there would only be one console powerhouse – which would not be a good thing for EA.

Battlefield 3: Close Quarters DLC pack free on Origin with E3 code
