Battlefield 4 will get a deluxe edition on PS3 and Xbox 360, UK retailer GAME has confirmed. It’s getting a limited run and comes with bonus goodies inside.

During the Stifel 2013 Technology Conference on Tuesday, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said the firm plans to support current generation consoles until 2017. Gamespot reports the quote from the conference, which we’ve reported on quite a bit. Another day, another hope that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be released sooner rather than later. Today, a listing popped up for it on Amazon Germany. AGB has posted a screengrab of the placeholder listing just in case it vanishes. ngmoco Sweden’s Ben Cousins, previously GM of EA’s Easy Studio said last year he’d heard the game was in the works at DICE. This was around the time that EA Games vice-president Patrick Soderlund said DICE was currently working on non-Battlefield titles. E3? Who knows. Keep hope alive.

20 May 2013 marked the 30th anniversary of the first games EA ever shipped. In a San Francisco warehouse back in 1983, all of the then EA employees, including programmers and the marketing department, all came together to pack the first five EA games to be released and ship them off to stores selling Commodore 64 games.

Battlefield 4 was announced for an October 29 release date last night for all formats, but EA has since clarified that the shooter will only hit current-gen formats from this date, and will hit PS4 and Xbox One at a later date.

NBA Live 14 has been announced for next-generation consoles by Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen. The news was revealed as part of his talk during the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference today. The game is set for release later this year, and may be part of the new Xbox console reveal today, if NBA Live tweets are any indication. NBA Live 13 was set to be the latest game in the series, slated for last fall, but was ultimately cancelled by EA with the promise the franchise would return in 2013. Thanks, Polygon.
