dragonsanga

Drakensang: The River Of Time has been announced by dtp entertainment, and is expected for early 2010 release on PC.

Not much is known about the game at this point, other than the fact it’s a prequel to Drakensang: The Dark Eye.

One thing is for sure though: expect more of the cool medieval music that keeps us RPG fans all of a tizzy.

dtp unveils cyberpunk MMO, Otherland

otherland.jpg

Eurogamer’s posted first details of Otherland, a dtp-developed MMO based on the books of American author Tad Williams.

It’s out in 2010. As the site puts it:

Otherland takes place in a near future where the super-rich have their own private virtual worlds on the net, peopled both by AI, and unwitting humans who don’t know that what they’re experiencing isn’t real.

The screens look bonkers. Take a look.

German site 4players has put up a handy chart of all the announced games to be shown in the press conferences at Games Convention this week, and it’s not looking too shabby.

Expect surprises, especially from Sony. Very useful, that: bookmark it.

Update: EG.de’s got a list too. Can never have too many lists.

dtp receives Xbox 360 publisher status

Big up the dtp. The German company has been granted Xbox 360 publisher status. There’s no confirmation of console projects as yet, however.

“This is a crucial step on our path to becoming a multi-platform publisher. Our first Xbox 360 title will be announced shortly”, said COO Markus Windelen. “Products for the next generation consoles and further international expansion are important milestones for dtp. So far we have been publishing our games mainly on PC and the Nintendo systems; several Wii titles are in the works. Thanks to our newly gained Xbox 360 publisher status we are able to sharpen the image of our new release line-up for the purpose of successful international distribution.”

Germany’s Next Top Model for DS

This is probably the start of something fairly awful. According to this, dtp is releasing a DS game based on the TV show Germany’s Next Top Model. Apparently players use the stylus to pose, walk on the catwalk, and apply makeup. If it’s popular, you can expect local versions to pop up in every country on earth, so for God’s sake don’t buy it, German people.
