Star Wars: First Assault gameplay footage leaks

star wars first assault 031313

Leaked footage of Star Wars: First Assault has turned up, once again courtesy of Kotaku. The footage shows early gameplay footage purportedly from the fall 2012 build, as well as a video showing a pre-rendered clip. The source who sent the videos to Kotaku stated the gameplay video shows in-game footage with all known issues for the time, and that since the video’s creation, “many improvements have been made in performance, completeness, and quality.” First Assault is a FPS which was slated for a spring 2013 and it was originally outed in late August by a domain name and trademark registration.

Disney to have a look at whether its games could be deemed as violent

Disney

Disney chairman and CEO Robert Iger said during a HRTS Newsmakers Luncheon this week the company would look into whether any of its video game offerings could be deemed as violent. Iger admitted there is “very little” violent content created at Disney, but said the company would take “stock in everything we’ve got that can be considered near or over the line.” Iger stated further he wanted to make sure Disney was asking the right questions in terms of its content and remain “part of a dialogue in today’s world that I think is pretty necessary in terms of what our role is and what our role should be.” Thanks: GI International. Lucasarts was purchased by Disney in October last year, prompting the developer to assure fans the title’s development was not affected. Star Wars 1313 is slated for release in 2013 on PC. Via Playnews.
