The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s soundtrack is being co-composed by audio lead Gene Rozenberg, who previously served a similar role on Project Copernicus, the 38 Studios MMO. In a video interview on GameInformer, Rozenberg describes the lessons he learned from the project – making sure the music offers enough variety; ensuring different pieces are in tone with each other; keeping music ambient where it needs to be; and making combat music reactive and adapative. You can also hear some samples and view some screenshots of Copernicus and The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is expected in 2014, on PC, PlayStation 4 and other unnamed consoles.

CD Projekt RED has relayed information on The Witcher 3′s storyline to Game Informer. We wont tell you too much of what we heard, in case you have not played The Witcher 2. Let’s just say Geralt is “looking for someone who has been missing in The Witcher 1 and 2,” and “the war” is still ongoing. The Witcher series has sold over 5 million copies, CD Projekt RED has announced. Yesterday, the studio confirmed it is working on the third installment, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set for a 2014 release. To celebrate both the new sales figures and the announcement The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 was given a permanent price drop, and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition are 50% off until February 8 .

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was revealed earlier this week – we’ve got gameplay details by the knapsack-full here – and CD Projekt RED’s teaser trailer is now live, showing a blood-stained wolf motif you’re probably familiar with by now. CD Projekt RED has released a new Cyberpunk 2077 video featuring Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith discussing his inspirations for creating the pen-and-paper RPG, which the game is based on. The developers collaborated with Pondsmith on the RPG, which is set in a near future where advanced technologies are both a salvation and curse for humanity. The first teaser for Cyberpunk 2077 was released last week, and the game is not expected until sometime around 2015 – or “when it’s ready.”
