New Witcher II short clip explains the meaning of a Witcher
CD Projekt’s released a new video of The Witcher II for Xbox 360, this time being an animated clip of what the meaning and purpose is of an actual Witcher. Get it below the break. The game’s out on April 17 worldwide via Warner in the US and Namco Bandai in Europe.

Namco releases Witcher II 360 press event video, sticks Alex in front of a camera
Namco’s released a video showing the recent trip press undertook to Haver Castle to see The Witcher II. In it, journalists openly talk about its impressions about the game over the PC version. Also, it has VG247 contributor Alex Donaldson in front of a camera. Watch him talk alongside Becca Roberts of Destructoid from 2:26 in. Read Stace’s impressions from that event here.

CD Projekt RED to live stream spring conference April 5, Witcher 2 360 is golden
CD Projekt RED has announced it will live stream its spring conference on April 5, where it will discuss the launch of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings – Enhanced Edition as well as the expansion of GOG.com. The firm also announced today that the Enhanced Edition for The Witcher 2 has gone gold for Xbox 360. More information on where to watch the stream will be released closer to the event. Witcher 2 Enhanced launches April 17 on Xbox 360 and PC.

GoG.com to become “bigger, fresher, newer” on March 27
Good Old Games has a big announcement coming on Tuesday, March 27 and will be releasing a wave of videos in honor the “momentous event.” To get everyone excited over the impending news, the firm has sent over the first video, which shows just how difficult gaming is when the “DRM Knight” is around. CD Projekt to hold BAFTA presentation for The Witcher II 360
Namco Bandai’s announced a BAFTA presentation for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher II featuring CD Projekt. QA lead Bartek Ocham and lead combat designer Mariej Ocham will hold a live demo before taking part in a Q&A from OXM UK. After that, attendees will be free to try the game.

Witcher 2 Dark Edition sold out in UK, install the game on 360 hard drive
The pre-order version of the Dark Edition for The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition on 360, exclusive GAME, has sold out, according to Namco.
Good news for GAME, there. Meanwhile, CD Projekt has said it recommends folks buying the RPG for the console install the game on their hard drives
in order to avoid performance issues.

CD Projekt has released a new teaser video for The Witcher 2: Assasssins of Kings Enhanced Edition. Teaser is a rather appropriate word for it, as it’s only 57 seconds long, but it still gives you an idea of how the game will look when it’s released on Xbox 360 April 17. PC users won’t be left out of the equation either, as it will also include all of the new cut-scenes and the extra storyline added for the 360 version. Watch the video below.

GSC Game World titles coming to GOG starting with Cossacks Analogy
GOG has announced the addition of GSC Game World titles to its digital library, starting with an entry from the studio’s tactical RTS series Cossacks. The anthology bundles together Cossacks: European Wars with the expansion packs Cossacks: Art of War and Cossacks: Back to War. The Cossacks Analogy lands today for $5.99 and comes complete with wallpapers, soundtracks, the manual, a quick reference card and is DRM-free. Further titles from GSC Game World are to be added in the future.

The Witcher 2 moved over 1.1 million units in 2011
CD Projekt has said The Witcher 2 moved 1,110,055 units on PC in 2011. The digital version sold 270,000 through digital distribution services, and 40,000 of those were through GoG.
