An app, which provides the current status of Diablo III’s servers, has been released for Android through Google Play. Developed by Eluamous, creator of a similar app for World of Warcraft, the free app is ad supported and allows you to check the status of servers in Asia, Europe and the US without bothering to log into your PC or Mac. Activision has released a new video for The Amazing Spider-Man, which details the game’s web rush mechanic. According to the game’s executive producer, Brent Nicholas, web rush allows the player to slow time in order to make strategic choices regarding Spidey’s next move. Once activated, a variety of navigational and combat options can be chosen such as attacking your enemy stealthily from the shadows or just rushing in to provide a beat down. Pat and Sam are ladies – at least in Diablo III they are – and in the video posted below, you can watch over 19 minutes of gameplay as the sexy duo brave exploding frogs and dogs before tearing the Skeleton King a new one. Activision has released a video for Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #2, showing the new Face Off maps set to music you’d hear while traversing main street in an old west town at high noon. Content Collection #2 contains the Multiplayer/Survival Mode Maps Sanctuary, Foundation and Oasis, Special Ops Missions Iron Clad and Switch Back and the Face Off maps Getaway and Lookout. While premium Elite members received the pack on May 15, and everyone else received the Face Off content the following day, the pack can be downloaded via Xbox Live on May 22 for 1200 Microsoft Points/$14.99. All content will be available on other platforms at a later date.

Activision will air a new Black Ops II trailer during the Champions League final on Saturday between Chelsea and Bayern Munich, according to CVG. No word on what the trailer, which will air simultaneously on ITV 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD will feature, but expect all kinds of futuregasms, though.

The Treyarch shooter launches on November 15 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Blizzard’s announced the US Diablo III servers will go down for a two hour maintenance period from 5am PST (1pm BST) until 7am PST (3pm BST). The downtime follows a return of Error 37 overnight.

French company Absoloo is offering free sex toys to those widowed by the just-released Diablo III. To claim, you need to post a picture of yourself on Absoloo’s Facebook page holding a copy of the game. You’ll then be sent a code with which to “adopt your new friend” from the Absoloo site. It’s not clear if the offer’s applicable outside of France, although we suspect that a sudden international crowd of pissed off, Diablo-burnt, dildo-hungry partners descending for hundreds of free cavity-based staffs of power (+1 vitality) may very well make it so. Blizzard has apologised to frustrated Diablo III players struggling to log-in to the game, and outlined the steps and preparations it has made to correct the problems – including a delay to the game’s Auction House.
