Blizzard has added an in-game store to the World of Warcraft client, meaning you no longer need to alt-tab out to the web-based store when you espy a mount or pet you simply cannot live without. The developer is now expected to begin implementing other up-to-the-minute next-gen features like metal tools instead of those clumsy old stone things, and planting fields rather than just wandering around hoping enough food grows in the wild. Pets and mounts are currently on sale, by the way.

StarCraft 2 Patch 2.1 is now available for testing in the Public Test Realm. Those who test the patch will note the introduction of Extension Mods, Clan and Group additions via the new Events tab, AFK lobby hosts, and the ability to do all of this while listening to the classic StarCraft soundtrack. Unfortunately, due to an issue discovered “during internal PTR testing,” Mac users will be unable to access the Test Realm at this time. More information is posted on Battle.net.

World of Warcraft players can now test patch 5.4.2 through the game’s Public Test Realms. The changes coming with the update affect raids, dungeons, warriors, the Cross-Realm raid browser, mail, and more. You can head through here to glance at the patch notes if you like.

The Warcraft movie has been pushed back a couple of months from December 18, 2015 to March 11, 2016, according to a Variety report. It’s one of a couple of changes Universal and Legendary have made to their release schedule, and no explanation was given – but speculation blames the new Star Wars movie, which opens on Warcraft’s original release date. We got our first story details on the Duncan Jones-directed film at Blizzcon 2013.

Call of Duty: Ghosts has been updated on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The full patch notes show that a number of performance, stability and general fixes have been applied to all platforms, which is welcome news, but the PC version reaps the most benefits thanks to Infinity Ward’s decision to switch various Nvidia-powered fur and smoke effects back on. Ghosts is also available on PS4, Wii U and Xbox One.

The Skylanders Collection Vault has launched on the App Store, allowing users to easily manage and explore their Skylanders toy collection on the go – useful when you’re at the shops and not sure if you’re about to purchase a duplicate. The app has some social features, allowing you to compare your Skylanders list with friends, and has a wishlist function which Activision will be leveraging for a competition – just download the app and send your wish list to email@example.com by December 6 for a chance to score up to 25 toys. Something appears to be happening to the Crash Bandicoot IP. The franchise is currently believed to be owned by Activision, yet all traces of the game have been removed from the publishers websites, and the official Crash homepage has been reduced to a single nav bar.

Call of Duty: Ghosts players can participate in the game’s first Clan War starting Monday, November 25. All multiplayer sessions this weekend will contribute to how Clans will be ranked by size and skill in preparation for Monday’s start. You can find out more through the blog posting on One of Swords. Back in September there was a rumor that Colin Farrell may star in the Warcraft movie being directed by Moon’s Duncan Jones. Farrell recently spoke with IGN and neither confirmed nor denied he would be starring in the Blizzard vehicle.
