Star Trek Online’s Legacy of Romulus expansion is live
Cryptic Studios has announced the Legacy of Romulus expansion for Star Trek Online has gone live. STO players can choose to play as a Romulan or Reman through new story-driven mission arcs, and Denise Crosby returns to reprise her role as Empress Sela. New Romulan ships and enemies have been added and the Klingon faction has also been updated with full level 1-50 progression. Splinter Cell: Blacklist developer diary discusses two co-op modes
Splinter Cell: Blacklist has a new developer diary available discussing the co-op in the game. According to the video, there are four different mission type, and the two being discussed today are The Isaac Briggs missions and The Grim. Check out below. Poker Night 2 now available for iOS
Poker Night 2, along with Brock Fucking Samson, is now available for iOS. Telltale’s poker simulator will run you $4.99 on the App Store, and also includes Sam and Max, Claptrap, GLaDOS, and my personal hero, Ash Williams. Head over to the App Store and pick it up. The game’s also available through the Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam, and PSN.

EA’s FIFA series has become part of the “fabric of football,” says producer
Nick Channon, FIFA 14 producer, has told VG247′s Sam Clay that it’s rather nice for the series to have become part of the “fabric of football.” He also said EA is proud of the fact it can connect the game’s users to the real sport. Listen to your man speak about it himself below. FIFA 14 is out September 24 in the US and September 27 in the UK on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be released on PS4 and Xbox One as well. EA to support current-gen consoles through 2017
During the Stifel 2013 Technology Conference on Tuesday, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said the firm plans to support current generation consoles until 2017. Gamespot reports the quote from the conference, which we’ve reported on quite a bit. During it Jorgensen talked about the possibility of a Star Wars: Battlefront game, developments on Wii U and how more games and information on all its titles will be revealed at E3. Mirror’s Edge 2 listing pops up on Amazon Germany
Another day, another hope that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be released sooner rather than later. Today, a listing popped up for it on Amazon Germany. AGB has posted a screengrab of the placeholder listing just in case it vanishes. ngmoco Sweden’s Ben Cousins, previously GM of EA’s Easy Studio said last year he’d heard the game was in the works at DICE. This was around the time that EA Games vice-president Patrick Soderlund said DICE was currently working on non-Battlefield titles. E3? Who knows. Keep hope alive.

Sonic: Lost World teaser image shows character silhouettes
SEGA has released another teaser image for Sonic: Lost World. This one shows silhouettes of characters we can probably expect to be in the game. The last teaser image was revealed while the last Nintendo Direct was going on, which was when the Wii U exclusive was announced. Check out the teaser image in full below. Square Enix to broadcast E3 announcements, happenings on show floor live during the event
Square Enix has announced it will broadcast its E3 presentations live. Dubbed “Square Enix Presents,” the firm will reveal more details on the program’s schedule, games and personalities who will be featured in the coming weeks leading up to E3 in June. The firm says the presentation will “offer a diverse and user-friendly range of programming aimed at sharing unique perspectives with Square Enix’s global audience.” Viewers can expect coverage of all key titles in Square Enix’s 2013 lineup, and the event can be watched through here on YouTube throughout E3′s duration June 11-13.

Epic Mickey 2 will be released on Vita next month
Epic Mickey 2 will be released on Vita next month, with new features making use of the handheld’s touch capabilities. It will also contain ad hoc network functionality, the ability to control paint, thinner and Oswald’s electric beam, and make use of the “orientation-based controls” for the camera and while driving. Square Enix’s US president and CEO Mike Fischer has left the company
Square Enix’s US president and CEO Mike Fischer has left the company, according to a report on Polygon. Fischer joined the company in 2010, and according to the report, he is now vice president of digital video and music at Amazon Japan. Prior to his stint at Square, Fischer worked for Microsoft, SEGA and Namco Bandai. He told Polygon he left Square on good terms. “We can confirm that Mike Fischer is no longer with Square Enix,” said the company in a statement. “We’d like to thank Mike for all of his efforts and contributions to the company and to its employees.” The firm’s president Yoichi Wada left earlier this year.
