505 Games has announced Artificial Mind and Movement’s (A2M) new game, Naughty Bear, which is a “violent action game starring an animated, stuffed bear who swears revenge on other jerk bears for failing to invite him to a party”.

He wields dual axes and chops ninja bears to bits, if the teaser site is any indication.

In the game, you hurt the other bears and garner Naughty Points through 30 different stages. The more “deviant and maniacal” you are, the more Naughty Points you accrue.

Sounds like effing win to us. Then again, we did this sans points with our bears as a kid anyway.

505 Games has confirmed that there will be a patch on the way for the PlayStation 3 version of IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey.

The patch come fix some of the problems that have plagued the PS3 SKU. It’s currently going through QA, with a date to be finalised.

ArmA II has a new patch available, bringing the version of the game from 1.00 to 1.04.

If you use Steam, however, use the service to download the newest update instead of this manual patch.

Fixes include:

• Improved mouse handling and responsivness
• Stability fix where the CTD caused by Voice Over Net had many players speaking simultaneously and other stability problems
• Fixed speed of soul simulation and other improvements
• Fixed multiplayer scoring, multiple mission parameters added and various other MP-related improvements

1C Company has announced NecroVision: Lost Company, a prequel to the WWI shooter from The Farm 51.

In it, the player will control a German soldier who fights supernatural evil only to become the evil Necromancer that was in the first game.

There will be 10 new single player levels, six new weapons, drivable vehicles such as the FT17 tank and Halberstadt CL.II airplane, and weapon upgrades.

Gas Attack is the new multiplayer mode that has been added, along with improved visual and graphics upgrades.

It’s out the first part of 2010.

The demo for IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey has reached one million downloads, according to a press mailer from 505 and IC Company.

One million downloads is a lot for a demo, and the staggering number includes bit XBL and PSN downloads combined.

Looks as though the latest IL-2 Sturmovik, Birds of Prey, is no slouch. The air combat title, releasing on Friday in Europe, is keeping its head above 80 on MetaCritic and seems worthwhile of those soon-to-be heavily depleted notes in your pocket.
