XCOM-related package shows up on Videogamer’s doorstep
2K has been really quiet regarding XCOM of late, until it recently went so far as to remove official videos from its YouTube channel and taking the website offline. Last month, a report from Superannuation stated that the game may be in the process of a re-brand due to domain registrations for “thebureau-game.com” and “whathappenedin62.com” popping up – so the culled assets and information seemed to indicate this. Today, Videogamer posted a video of XCOM related contents it received in the mail, proving – hopefully- that it is indeed a re-brand and not an all out cancellation. Watch for yourself below. Thanks, SplatteredHouse.

Hopefully that last one means the much-touted cross-platform compatibility with PC is also back, having vanished thanks to a Gearbox update to the Windows version last year. Aspyr has also made DLC available as in-game purchases, and is offering 50% off the shooter RPG sequel on the Mac App Store.

BioShock and BioShock 2 just $4 from Gamefly
If you haven’t yet experienced the original BioShock and its solid if not quite as magical sequel, now is the time. Gamefly is offering both games on PC for $5, and if you use this Dealzon coupon code, you’ll pay just $4. If that doesn’t fill the hole left in your life by the ending of BioShock Infinite I am unsure what will. Probably nothing. There is only sorrow, forever.
Thanks, Joystiq.
