Razer’s ambidextrous mouse now shipping
Razer had delivered on its April promise to produce a mouse for left-handed gamers. Engadget reports the Ouroboros can be customised for either left- or right-handed grips, making it technically ambidextrous, but still a whole lot better for Southpaws than using a standard mouse. It boasts 11 programmable buttons and up to 8,200 DPI, and costs $130 with a charging dock.

Oculus Rift pre-orders now available
Oculus Rift is available for pre-order and will run you $300 in the US and $345 outside the US. The Rift Developer Kit – which includes a prototype of the head unit and the SDK for software development is what you’ll be buying. The first 1,000 who do, will get a copy of Doom 3: BFG Edition. Kinect price permanently dropped in US to $110
Kinect has had its price permanently dropped in the US to $109.99. There will be also a permanently reduced price applied in Latin America and Asia Pacific regions where Kinect is sold. Additionally, on October 4, the Kinect sensor will be available for a permanently reduced price in Australia and New Zealand. “The final retail price will vary in each region based on the currency and other variables,” notes Major Nelson. There are no price drop plans for EMEA and Japan.

Sony video shows off the new PlayStation Move Racing Wheel
Sony has posted a detailed preview of the latest PS Move peripheral: the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel. In the video below the break, Anton Mikhailov from SCEA’s Research and Development team goes in-depth with the peripheral’s tracking of PS Move, and how it offers “second-to-none mechanics,” when it comes to controlling your racing games. The Move Racing Wheel will be available this fall for $39.99 and will support titles such as LittleBigPlanet Karting, in addition titles such as Gran Turismo 5, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Burnout Paradise, MotorStorm Apocalypse, and others.

Sony files patent for Move steering wheel peripheral
Last year, Sony patented a steering wheel peripheral for Move which was published on April 3. It’s rather odd looking, and has a built-in thumbstick and face buttons.
