Ghost in the machine! Features of CoD:Ghosts
Adding to the big announcements, information for Call of Duty’s next-gen installment in the franchise has started to emerge today. Following leaks of the name and a teaser trailer in the past weeks, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts is developed on a new engine which will add features such as exponential polygons and mocapped dogs.

Battlefield 4 will release on October 29, confirmed for Xbox One
Battlefield 4 will release on October 29 and will be made available on Xbox One, EA has announced. The release date covers current-gen and PC, and those who pre-order will nab the China Rising Expansion Pack. Players will “fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment.” Sounds lovely. EA Sports trailers show off new Ignite Engine
EA Sports has released some videos showing off its new Ingnite Engine. Feast your eyes below. EA Sports announced a partnership today with Xbox One, but didn’t go into details on what it was – likely it has to do with exclusive content for its UFC, NBA Live, and Madden licenses. The firm announced today that FIFA 14 Ultimate Team would launch on Xbox One exclusively, so the partnerships is likely more incentives such as this; however, the games will also be released on PS4, but whether versions for Sony’s console will also contain exclusive content remains to be seen.

Xbox One will receive top Ubisoft titles, including Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The publisher will launch at least six next-gen titles Microsoft’s format in the next 12 months.

Metro: Last Light Season Pass and single-player DLC details coming tomorrow
The official Twitter account for Metro: Last Light has revealed that information on the Season Pass and future DLC will hit tomorrow. The DLC is single-player content expanding the world of in the game, and the Season Pass will contain all the content being created since Last Light’s completion. It will also be offered at a discount for those who want to grab it. So, in other words, look out for more information tomorrow.

Neverwinter players who are playing the beta may have noticed a rollback, after Crytpic was informed by players of an exploit which some players used to their economic advantage. Recall the recent exploit in Diablo 3 which resulted in the Auction Houses being brought down and you get the idea.

Guild Wars 2 has been given a permanent price drop
Guild Wars 2 has been given a permanent price drop, NCsoft has announced. The standard edition will now run you £34.99/$49.99 and the Deluxe version £49.99/$69.99. The new price point, which is $10 off the launch price, is effective starting today. The new price coincides with the conclusion of the Southsun Cove event next week, called Last Stand at Southsun. Ghost of a Tale Indiegogo campaign a success, surpasses funding goal
Ghost of a Tale, the PC adventure game from ex-Dreamworks and Universal animator Lionel Gallat, has surpassed its funding goal on IndieGoGo, despite the crowd-funding site going down twice during the fundraising drive. The project initially needed €45,000 for development, but backers provided €48,700 in funding, making it a rousing success. The adorable game where you play a little mouse in a dangerous world, will be released on PC upon completion. A dedicated site and forums are in the works, but until either are up, you ca keep track of the development process through the funding page.

Deep Silver bringing twin-stick shooter Narco Terror to XBLA and PSN soon

DOTA takes Steam concurrent player record… from itself
At some point this past weekend, there were 329,977 Steam users running DOTA 2. That’s a new record for any single game on the Steam platform, beating down the previous record of ~297,000 players gathered in DOTA 2 in early March. The West qualifiers for The International tournament — with a prize pool currently topping $2 million — were this weekend, and folks can watch through the client, so that probably had something to do with it.
