Nintendo’s E3 2012 conference dated for June 5
Nintendo has announced slim details of its E3 2012 press conference: 9:00 AM PST, June 5. The platform holder has promised to show off the final form of new console the Wii U, although launch deatils will not be announced at the event. Microsoft and Sony will both hold events on June 4. E3 2012 runs June 5-7 at the Los Angeles Convention Centre.

La Mulana western WiiWare release cancelled, PC version still on the cards
Nicalis has cancelled the European and US release of Nigoro’s WiiWare platformer La Mulana. The publisher told GoNintendo the “steep decline” of WiiWare sales coupled with long delays prompted the decision. A PC version is on the way, and Nigoro hopes to make an announcement soon, as it’s currently overwhelmed by requests for more information.

Madden NFL 13 screen shows Jim Nantz, Phil Simms as new commentary team
The new commentary team for Madden NFL 13 is Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. A screenshot of the two appeared on the Madden website before it was hastily pulled by EA Sports. Operation Sports got the shot and a few others before that was the case, however. A new commentary team was previously promised by EA.
Madden NFL 13 launches on August 28 in the US for 360, PS3, Wii and Vita.

Nintendo reports first ever annual loss, 3DS sells 17m LTD
Nintendo has reports its first ever annual loss at a net loss of ¥43.2 billion (£328.7 million/$531.1 million), a lower than expected figure compared to what was previously predicted thanks to strong 3DS sales. Sales were at ¥647 billion (£4.92 billion/$7.97 billion).

Nintendo launches UK-based customer service centre
Nintendo has launched a brand new customer service centre in the UK. The service will offer to answer any questions on DS, 3DS and Wii, as well as offer repairs for consoles that feature a free first inspection and free shipping for consoles and accessories. Nintendo items that are still under warranty can get free repairs with items returned within seven days, plus a whole new one-year warranty. You can book a repair here.
