The Last of Us soundtrack composed by Gustavo Santaolalla headed to Music Unlimited
In more The Last of Us news, the game’s soundtrack is heading to Sony’s Music Unlimited. It will be made available in a “few weeks,” meaning you should probably expect it when the game releases. To get a taste of what to expect, Naughty Dog has released a video featuring Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla who created the soundtrack. It’s the first time the composer has worked on a video game, and you can get an idea of what his process was like below. The Last of Us is out worldwide on June 14.

Idolm@sater Shiny Festa games available on the App Store
Namco Bandai has released localised versions of three of its popular Idolm@ster games for iDevice. Rhythmic Record, Melodic Disc and Harmonic Score are ports of the Shiny Fest PSP games, and are available now from the App Store for $55 each. Each one contains an original animated feature, different idols, and free downloadable tunes, and weighs in at a hefty couple of GB each.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 headed to 3DS
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 was announced for 3DS in the latest issue of Famitsu, according to Siliconera. It’s the follow up to last year’s effort, the first to grace Nintendo’s handheld. Sega has made some noise about potentially localising Hatsune Miku games for the west; the vocaloid has made popular appearances on PlayStation 3 and Vita as well.

Injustice: Gods Among Us OST to launch alongside game
The soundtrack to Injustice: Gods Among Us will launch alongside the PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 fighter this week. The album will go for $10 via digital retailers, and will turn up on CD in the US on April 23, for $12. You can peruse the track list; check out one featured track, THISKIDSNOTALRIGHT by AWOLNATION; and listen to the game’s main theme through the break. NetherRealm’s latyest arrives on April 16 in the US; April 17 in Australia; and April 19 in Europe.

Grand Theft Auto soundtracks available on Spotify
Rockstar Games has helpfully collated music featured on the soundtracks of Grand Theft Auto 3, GTA 4, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories and Chinatown Wars as Spotify channels. The ads and DJ banter are unfortunately not included, and not every track is available yet, but you cna take your pick from across the dials via Rockstar Newsire.

Rock Band’s last DLC track will be Don McLean’s American Pie
Harmonix named Don McLean’s American Pie will be the last track added to the Rock Band library, on April 2. Harmonix announced the swansong at its PAX East party today, as reported by Polygon. The developer announced its intention to cease releasing new DLC last month, and after 275 weeks and more than 4,000 tracks, it’s hard to complain.
