The second Indie Games Music Bundle has gone live to buy, featuring five soundtracks for a $1 including Aquaria, Sword & Sorcery, To The Moon, Jamestown and Machinarium. Shell out an additional $10 and you’ll get additional soundtracks for games like 8-Bit Pimp, Mighty Switch Force, Tower of Heaven, Shatter, Cat Astro Phi, Passcode, Eternal Daughter and Songs For the Cure ’10, with more albums to be unlocked once certain milestones are hit.

Harmonix has announced Bush tracks will be made available for Rock Band 3 on February 7 for PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360. The tracks are from the band’s 1994 debut, Sixteen Stone, and the DLC consists of the following tracks: Everything Zen, Comedown, and Machinehead. The tracks will be made available for PS3 the following day in Europe, as part of the weekly PSN update. Each will run you the normal rate, and for an extra $0.99 you can upgrade the song Machinehead to Pro bass and guitar. A track pack will be made available for $5.49.

Square Enix has opened a website portal which devoted entirely to its Piano Collections series of game soundtracks. At present, the site contains piano renditions of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts music,. and soon, NieR. The Piano Opera: Final Fantasy I/II/III soundtrack site has also been updated with track lists, samples, and composer comments from Nobuo Uematsu and Hiroyuki Nakayama. The soundtrack will be released on February 29 for ¥2,800 ($36.74), and sheet music will be available starting in March for ¥1,800 ($23.62). Thanks, Andriasang.

Q Entertainment has unveiled the soundtrack to Vita launch title Lumines Electronic Symphony, with Air, Amon Tobin, The Chemical Brothers, Faithless and Goldfrapp in the mix.

Paul McCartney is writing music for an unannounced video game, according to an interview with German music publication Zeit Online, stating it will be the first time “young people” hear his music in game – barring his work with the Beatles and Wings in the Rock Band franchise.

Some leaked boxart for Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy shows that the game will contain paid download content, as well as support something called “Nintendo Network”. The dummy art, which first popped up on NeoGAF, shows that the game, as promised, will have DLC released for it but it looks like it will cost you according to the fine print. The game launches on 3DS in Japan on February 16, which would make it the first game to have paid DLC on the system. Likely, Nintendo will announce something pertaining to “Nintendo Network” sometime between now and then, still, we’ll send a mail. Thanks, Andriasang.

Harmonix has announced two tracks from The Edgar Winter Group’s album, They Only Come Out at Night, and two from Korn will be released for Rock Band 3 next week. The tracks are: Free Ride, Frankenstein, Freak on a Leash, and Falling Away from Me. The former tracks from Winter contain keyboard support, with the later containing Pro Guitar/Pro Bass as well. Each track will run you the usual price on PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 come January 17.

Sony has updated Video Unlimited for the US, with new releases such as Paranormal Activity: The Chronology, Moneyball, and Scorpion King 3. Yes, they made a third one.

Called One Life Left Presents – Music to Play Games By Too, the album features the Bluehearts, Last Miles of Galaxy, Decktronic, Supreme Ultimate Fist and more. Deadmau5 is making “a variety of exclusive new tracks” for Sound Shapes, a unique Vita title which unfortunately looks likely to miss the console’s launch. Navigating a 2D world with vague shades of Loco Roco, the player creates a unique soundscape on each playthrough. In addition to the campaign, you can make and share your own levels – mixing your own interactive music, in other words. Deadmau5′s offerings will apparently be playable in both modes. Sony sent a press release so this one actually looks to be true, unlike other headlines we won’t discuss.

A charity album feature original music titles such as Mass Effect, Dead Space, Bioshock and others, has been compiled to benefit the Sweet Relief organization, which supports career musicians having trouble paying the bills and such due to illness, age, or disabilities.

Harmonix has announced that a three-pack of Canadian prog-rockers RUSH will be made available on PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 December 13. Track include: Fly by Night, Caravan, and The Spirit of Radio (Live). Also to be made available are the singles Rebel Love Song from Black Veil Brides and A Warrior’s Call from Volbeat.
