The documentary promises to contain “gamers, bloggers, scholars, developers, and other experts,” discussing and revealing the experiences of women in the gaming world, both good and bad. Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez is keen to tckle the adventures of Gordon Freeman, according to a Yahoo Movies report. “I really want to make a Half-Life movie at some point – but I’d heard it was impossible because Spielberg wanted to make it. That’s definitely one that I’ve always dreamed of making into a movie though,” the Panic Attack creator said. It looks like JJ Abrams has pipped him at the post, though.

Tomb Raider film to be co-developed by MGM

GK Films has teamed up with MGM for its upcoming Tomb Raider movie, which was announced in early March. According to The Hollywood Reporter, GK Films founder Graham King will produce, and although no casting decisions have been made, development will begin immediately.

Anderson, Jovovich confirmed for new Resident Evil film

First Showing reports series director Paul W.S. Anderson and star Milla Jovovich have both been confirmed for the new Resident Evil film, currently languishing without a subtitle under the codename Resident Evil 6. It’s expected to tie up the events of the last two films, forming a second trilogy. Shooting will begin in northern autumn, and special effects will be handled by long-time Anderson collaborator Mr X.
