Dota 2 has been updated, but it’s not one of those charming patches with an obvious major feature or tweak. Instead, it’s jam-packed with a huge number of nerfs, buffs and other rebalancing foolery; the full patch notes are available on Steam for those able to parse the dense thicket of information.

Another Infinite Crisis champion has been revealed, and its Cyborg. Along with a video featuring the high-tech champion a cybernetic all-star, Turbine has also released some new Green Lantern artwork showing three variations of the man from across the DC Multiverse: Arcane Green Lantern, Prime Green Lantern, and Atomic Green Lantern. The free-to-play MOBA is schedule for release later this year on PC.

It’s one of if not the most-played PC game in the world, and yet somehow not everybody is onboard League of Legends. This new trailer for the most successful MOBA to date reminds veterans of the pageantry and passion of arena-based violence, while presenting newbs with a reason to weather the steep learning curve. In any case, it’s four and a half minutes of very pretty, action-packed cinematic.

At some point this past weekend, there were 329,977 Steam users running DOTA 2. That’s a new record for any single game on the Steam platform, beating down the previous record of ~297,000 players gathered in DOTA 2 in early March. The West qualifiers for The International tournament — with a prize pool currently topping $2 million — were this weekend, and folks can watch through the client, so that probably had something to do with it.
