Crusader Kings 2′s latest expansion pack, Sons of Abraham, is now available. The pack, which is accompanied by a major patch, focuses on three Abrahamic religions – Christianity, Islam and Judaism – and makes religion a much more important part of gameplay. You can grab it for $10 through most major digital distributors. The Fullbright Company has put together a new release bundle for Gone Home, with four full albums of music from the game’s soundtrack. Pick the pack up direct from the developer for $25 to receive Calculated by Heavens to Betsy, Pottymouth by Bratmobile, Gone Home’s OST by Chris Remo, and The Youngins are Hardcore by The Youngins. Gone Home is $20 standalone, and if you already own it you can grab the albums by themselves for $15.

Hairbrained Schemes has announced it and Microsoft have reached an agreement which will allow the firm to release DRM-free versions of Shadowrun Returns. The deal includes DRM-free expansions for the game as well, such as Berlin. Players will be able to download all game patches, use the Shadowrun Returns editor and experience user-generated content downloaded from third-party sites such as Nexus. The team is currently working on getting the game up on GOG.com and will announce its availability in due course. Shadowrun Returns was one of the first major Kickstarter-funded games to be released.

The Humble Bundle team has added a much-requested feature to its already robust service – giftable keys. Now when you purchase a big pile of games in one go for a ridiculously cheap amount, you don’t have to worry about “wasting” tiny amounts of cash picking up duplicates of games you already own – you can pass individual titles onto less fortunate friends. Valve has issued an update to the Steam client which makes it much, much easier to enable downloading while you’re playing games. Until now, most users have had their downloads pause while playing a game, which is annoying if you’re not using the game’s online features and just trying to kill time waiting for the next one. The other major feature of the update is the option to set what times of day Steam can download updates. For full patch notes including a number of Linux and Big Picture fixes, hit the break.

After Reset is an old school open-world RPG in the style of the first two Fallout games – in fact, its developers describe it as filling the gap left by the cancellation of the project codenamed Van Buren, which would have been Fallout 3. The project was passed through Steam Greenlight in five days and has 15,000 Facebook fans, so it’s clearly got some traction, and indie studio Black Cloud is hoping to capitalise on that with a $900,000 crowdfunding campaign. Enjoying Team Fortress 2′s Hallowe’en celebration? So you ought, but according to the Team Fortress 2 blog, where you’ll find full patch notes, it wasn’t quite perfect. Valve has issued an update making a few fixes to the spooky event, as well as to the general TF2 experience. As ever, restart your Steam client if the patch hasn’t downloaded automatically.
