PALGN staff resign following internal dispute
Staff for Australian gaming site PALGN have resigned from the site, although will continue to work on the site until end of play this Friday. The confirmation, according to MCV Pacific, came in a mail from site vet site executive editor Jeremy Jastrzab, which noted the call ” stems from an inability for the editorial team and the PALGN ownership to come to agreement on how the site would function.” It follows after a forum thread that aired internal grievances between staff and owner Roland Kulen was recently made public on Pastebin over the direction of the site.
More details at the link.

Modern Warfare 3 eighth most popular topic on Facebook in 2011
Apparently, Modern Warfare 3 was the eighth most popular topic on Facebook this year. It was the only game in the top 10, and the death of Steve Jobs hit at number five. The rest of the chart dealt with politics, sports, the wedding between a posh British lady and a Prince, and Charlie Sheen’s crazy ass. You can view the chart through here, but note that December’s popularity hasn’t been gauged just yet. The more you know, etcetera.

By now, you’re probably aware that Netflix is dead. What we once associated with the name is, anyway. The company’s DVD-by-mail business has been split off, renamed “Qwikster”, and plans to take the world by storm in “a few weeks”. Oh, and it’ll ship video games to you, too.
In the hours since the announcement, I don’t think CEO Reed Hastings has gotten the response he was predicting.
