SEGA Pluto prototype shown off by former SEGA employee
A former SEGA employee has posted shots and information on something called SEGA Pluto, which was SEGA Saturn with internal Netlink. According to a forum poster on Assembler Games called Super Magnetic, Pluto was “the heaviest console,” he’d ever held and it featured: “two controller ports, and on top you have a flip-top drive bay, a cart slot, a Power button, and the venerable Reset button.” The poster notes Pluto may have been the codename for the Saturn console, and only two prototypes of this particular version were created. Luigi’s Mansion reigns supreme at retail in Japan
Luigi’s Mansion was still the number one title on the Media Create charts for the week, moving 111,000 units extra. Fate/Extra CCC debuted in second place for PSP, moving 73,000 units. On the hardware side of things, Wii and Wii U were the only offerings to show an increase over the prior week with 1,858 and 22,829 units moved, respectively. All other hardware units saw a decline in sales.

Wii U comes in third with 66,000 units sold in February
Wii U moved 66,000 units in the US last month according to NPD data released in a Macquarie Capital analyst note. According to the note, the system came in last place in sales, with Xbox 360 moving 302,000 units and PS3 263,000 units. The firm felt Wii U showed well with 45% growth month-over-month, with the Deluxe model showing an 70% increase in consumer demand. Thanks GI International.

Project Diva F, Soul Sacrifice and Vita dominate Media Create charts
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F and Soul Sacrifice took the top spots in the Media Create charts for the period of March 4-10, with the former moving 110,229 units on PS3 and Comcept’s debut moving 92,396 units on Vita. The handheld also took the top spot on the hardware charts, thanks to last month’s price drop. While sales were only up 1,038 units over the week prior, it still moved 63,581 units which is considerably better than its recent sales history.
