A report out of Spain claims EA Sports will show FIFA 14 to the press this week at an event in Madrid, with an embargo on details lifting on April 17. Assuming FIFA 14 releases sometime around September, as previous entires have, the timing seems plausible, so expect new details soon. All we’ve heard about the new entry to date is that it is “huge”, and will emphasise social features alongside traditional single-player modes; we’re not even sure if it’ll be current or next-gen.

US Xbox Gold subscribers now have access to all WWE pay-per-view events. Engadget reports the new service kicked off today, just in time for WrestleMania XXIX. Now you don’t even have to flick the telly over to the cable box. We live in the future.

This year’s Madden game is a bit special; rather than a yearly update, it celebrates the 25th anniversary of the franchise as a whole. EA Sports is looking for the perfect cover star to convey Madden 25′s emphasis on the history of the series, and as such, has opened fan voting on two brackets of new and classic players for your consideration. Votes can be cast through ESPN’s web portal or via live Twitter voting during SportsNation on Tuesday afternoons. Regular polls will run until April 24, and the first round of competition pits Curtis Martin against Jerome Bettis, and Von Miller against Victor Cruz. Madden NFL 25 hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in August.

FIFA 14′s enhanced online features have been discussed in a new interview with the series’ executive producer David Rutter. However, EA Sports won’t forget about the joys of solo play.

Steam’s weekend deals have kicked off today, and there are a couple good ones. First, Football Manager 2013 is 50 percent off, and then the entire Max Payne franchise is two-thirds off, bringing Max Payne 3 down to about $13. Both deals last until Monday.

Football Manager 14 was always inevitable, like the coming of night, but it’s nice to see it pop up on the Steam Database.

A demo fro Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is now available on Xbox 360. You can add the demo to your queue here. The demo allows you to pretend to be Arnold Palmer, and it unlocks him in the full version of the game. You will also get to play the on the Oak Hill Country Club green, test out the Legends of the Majors mode, the new ball physics, and preview the LPGA Tour as Lexi Thompson. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is due on March 26 in North America and on March 28 in Europe, for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Football Manager 2013 has received a new content update from Sports Interactive, ensuring that all of the January transfers are present and correct.

Rising Star Gamed has announced Super Black Bass 3D will be released for Nintendo 3DS on April 2 across North America. With 16 releases across seven different platforms, the 3DS comes with new features and gameplay modes such as the Real Rod System which makes use of the handheld’s gyroscope, making the line in the virtual water feel a bit more real. You will be able to cast for over 30 types of fish through various environments and weather conditions as you try to top the games’ global leaderboards. You can also upgrade your gear. Macquarie University Cricket Club and Exeter University Men’s Cricket Club have won an appearance in Ashes Cricket 2013. Publisher 505 Games held a two week social media campaign to choose the lucky clubs, attracting 20,000 Facebook fans and 16,245 votes. A number of celebrities, including Hugh Grant, got involved, and competing teams produced all sorts of videos and initiatives in order to have their team recreated in-game. Ashes Cricket 2013 is due in the UK on PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on June 21.
