Rebellion has announced that social reboot Evil Genius Online will go into beta next week; if all goes as planned, doors will open to testers on October 23. The developer has asked registered participants to keep an eye out for en email granting access to both the test and a forum for sharing feedback; unfortunately, new beta applications are not being accepted at this time. Evil Genius Online is coming to Facebook and Zynga.com, and while it may not be the sequel some fans were looking for Rebellion has said it’s determined to do a stand-alone sequel.

Three more Zynga executives have left the company: John Osvald and Nathan Etter, vice presidents in the Facebook games division, and Jesse Janosov, VP of casino gaming. Zynga announced last week a Q2 revenue decline of 31%, and that it would continue to evaluate its real money gaming products in the UK, but had decided “not to pursue a license” for real money gaming in the US. Thus the likely reason Janosov left the company. GI International reports that Etter is now working at Disney in its interactive division. Both he and Osvald had been with Zynga since 2009.
