Kerbal Space Program updates will be free for those who own the game
Updates and expansions for Kerbal Space Program, which part of the first wave of paid-Alphas allowed on Steam, will be free to customers who own the game and those those who buy it before the end of the month. The announcement was made by Squad after early adopters, who were promised free updates, became upset over having to pay extra for future expansions containing “major game-changing sets of features.” The game follows the Minecraft business model, meaning the price of the core game increases as development continues. Thanks, PC Gamer.

Fantasy Life trademark filed in the US
A western release of Level-5 and Brownie Brown’s unusual sim Fantasy Life seems more and more likely. In addition to a European trademark filed last month, Siliconera reports the developer has moved to secure a US one. Unfortunately, there’ve been no rumblings from any of the usual publishers, but perhaps a 3DS eShop release is possible. Fantasy Life released in Japan in December and sold out almost immediately; Level-5 is already planning sequels.

Pixelry Champions Kickstarter looks completely adorable
Ha ha, look at this Kickstarter; it’s called Pixelry Champions, and it’s about jousting. It’s an expanded commercial release of an already pretty delicious project, and wants just £23,000 for a November PC release, with Android, iOS, Linux and Mac ports in the offing.
