According to IGN, there was a rumour going around that shared-worlds shooter Destiny was coming to Vita. Answering desperately curious queries, Bungie pointed out calmly that the only proof of the matter – a supposedly leaked bit of promo art – uses an outdated version of the developer’s logo, fairly conclusively marking it as a fake. Destiny has been confirmed for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360, and other “next-gen platforms” presumably including what we’re now calling Xbox Infinity. The trademark which sparked the fake, Destiny of Spirits, remains unexplained.

Ukrainian developer 4A Games made Metro Last Light with a fraction of the budget of competing titles, working under conditions which would be cause for a lawsuit in the west.

Consider this a friendly reminder that all Battlefield 3 DLC is 50% off from today through May 20 on Xbox Live. The sale was announced last week as part of Microsoft’s “coming soon” update. Battlefield 3: Premium is also on sale for 30% off.

505 Games and Overkill Software, a Starbreeze Studio, have announced Payday 2 will no longer be limited to digital download. The game will also be released globally at retail PS3 and Xbox 360. Payday 2 will release for consoles and PC, via Steam, in August 2013. Box art is below.

Modders have managed to create a fully-operational Mortal Kombat 2 arcade cab into a Doom multiplayer map. The cab runs the SNES version of Probe’s brawler, so if you just want to play that instead of shooting each other stupid then you can.
