Guerilla Games has released a new bunch of Killzone: Mercenary screenshots and they look really beautiful. The new screens seem to be direct-captures and show off the game’s majestic world as well as featuring various characters, environments and textures. City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

Black Ops 2 players can earn double xp on weapon progression this weekend. The event starts today at 6pm GMT/10am PDT and runs through Monday until 6pm GMT/10am PDT on Monday. This corresponds with Uprising being available for PC and PS3. Go shoot something.

Major League Gaming’s Spring Season for Black Ops 2 is now in the second qualifying bracket with semifinals and finals airing tonight at 7pm ET. The winning team tonight will advance to the MLG Spring Championship from June 28-30 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, where hundreds of teams will compete for $50,000 in prizes and a first place prize of $20,000. Competitor, VIP and spectator passes for Black Ops 2 are available now, and fans can purchase a spectator pass online for $35 to attend the entire weekend, or upgrade to a VIP pass. BitComposer Games has announced Thunder Wolves, the arcade-style helicopter-shooter from Most Wanted Entertainment, is now available through Steam for $14.99. The versions for PSN and XBLA will be released “shortly” thereafter. The game contains plenty of action with explosions and destructible environments with nine helicopters with unique arsenals at the player’s disposal. Each of the 13 missions contain elements of either stealth, escorting, or seek-and-destroy. You can also enlist the help of a buddy through local cop-op. Check it out through the link.

Black Ops 2: Uprising is now available on PS3 in Europe. The content contains the maps Vertigo, Magma, Encore, and Studio along with the Mob of the Dead campaign. Hit up the trailer below for a refresher. Uprising will run you £11.59/€14.49 if you’re not a Season Pass holder.
