Valve has announced the addition of Subscription Plans to its offering of services. With Subscription Plans, users can sign up and manage payments for subscription-based games on Steam. Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro’s open-world, horror-mystery game Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut has gone gold. Saint’s Row 4 developer Volition believes that if anything, the series’ daft tone is what makes it such a success, not the other way round. It comes as one Cliff Bleszinski suggested that the wacky nature of the games is holding them back, and for Volition to “lose the gimps and dildos”.

Jon Lander, perhaps better known asn CCP Unifex, is stepping down from his role as EVE Online’s executive producer to head up the developer’s mobile division. PC Games N reports Lander has only held the job for about a year, weathering the fallout from the Incarna expansion, and overseeing three much better-received efforts in the interim. CCP is seeking external applicants to replace Lander; maybe you’d like to apply.

Rockstar has released two new pieces of Grand Theft Auto 5 art, showing off the franchise’s signature style. One shows a jetski and the other a motorbike; the pair are together titled Cash and Carry.

GTA 5 will contain a character named Casey, although what role he plays in the story in unknown at present. Confirmation of the character appeared on an actor’s page posted on IMDB. Casey is voiced by Jeff Wincott – who backed up his role in GTA 5 on Twitter – who has played various roles on different series on television such as Night Heat, 24 and Sons of Anarchy. He has been in movies as well, his most recent being the 2010 Denzel Washington film Unstoppable where he played Chris Pine’s brother.
