Obsidian hopes to unveil new Kickstarter by March or April, is based on licensed property, says Urquhart
Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart has confirmed that the Pillars of Eternity studio has another Kickstarter project in the works, and he hopes to have it revealed by March or April, 2014. It’s based on a license and no, it’s not Alpha Protocol 2.

Marvel Heroes developer Gazillion Entertainment has started offering players the chance to pre-purchase an advance pack of playable villains and other treats in both $129.99 and $99.99 variaties. The catch is that none of the content has a release date, and some elements could launch as late as 2015.

Drakengard 3 is out this week in Japan, and Square-Enix has released a new ‘advertisement movie’ to get players in the mood. It’s an epic mix of gameplay and cutscenes, and, although it’s all in Japanese, it should give you a good sense of what the game is all about (big boss battles and killing things with swords, mostly).

Firefly Online, a multi-user strategic roleplaying game based on the television series, will finally be released during summer of 2014. The news comes from io9 which was given an exclusive look at the game in development at QMXi and Spark Plug Games. In it, players will captain a ship and recruit crew to facilitate trade with other users online and go on space missions. It will be released on Mac and PC. 38 Studios assets sold during an auction conference call include Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends, and associated intellectual properties. The trademark for Big Huge Games was also sold, with gross proceeds totaling $320,000. An acceptable offer was not received for Project Copernicus nor 38 Studios’ integrated social media and gaming platform Helios. Richard Land, the receiver handling the asset auction, stated that he will continue to “engage in negotiations” with interested parties to sell the remaining assets.

The Pokémon Bank, which was announced for a December 27 launch back in October, has a new video available showing you all sorts of Poké stuff. When you download the Pokémon Bank, it allows for the deposit, withdrawl and managing of up to 3,000 Pokémon in private boxes. Like a bank. You can transfer from multiple physical and digital copies of Pokémon X & Y, as well as Black & White, Black & White 2, using the Poké Transporter, a linked application received when you download Pokémon Bank. Remeber, download before January 31 and you will get a free 30-day trial. After that it will run you $4.99/£4.49/€4.99 per year.

Bound by Flame, the RPG in the works at Spiders Studios, has a new story trailer available and we’ve posted it below. Bound by Flame puts players in the role of a mercenary possessed by a flame demon who must choose between the powers offered or keeping their humanity with heroic talents. Bound by Flame will release in early 2014 on PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360. It was announced back in March.
