Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F trailer announcement trailer released
SEGA has released the announcement trailer for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F. It’s the first console game in the rhythm action franchise from Crypton Future Media to release in the west, and it will be made available in North America on PS3 and PSN and in Europe on PSN in August. A demo released yesterday in the US and hits when the PS Store updates today in Europe.

Just Dance 2014 confirmed at Ubisoft E3 presser
Just Dance 2014 is really, truly a thing, Ubisoft confirmed today; a thing nobody anywhere doubted, especially after it leaked onto the Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday. It’s coming in October for “all platforms”, putting paid to theories it might be a Kinect exclusive. We’re gonna hazard a guess at PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 and await confirmation of other platforms. A trailer is below.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition introduced by Alice in Chains frontman
Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains was the first on stage at Ubisoft’s E3 2013 presentation to talk about Rocksmith 2014 Edition. The musician was seen issuing voice commands to use Session Mode, a new feature, allowing him to load up a virtual band and play along with them. Rocksmith 2014 Edition is due in October. Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F demo out next week in US, Europe
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F has been confirmed for a western release. The Crypton Future Media, Inc title will be made available in North America on PS3 and PSN and in Europe on PSN. It’s the first console game in the rhythm action franchise to release in the west, and it will include all the updated graphics, additional songs and features of the Japanese version. A demo releases June 11 in the US and June 12 in Europe. The game itself releases in August.

Sound Shapes DLC heading to PS Store in a couple of weeks
Queasy Games has announced new DLC for Sound Shapes. According to Shack, the pack contains two sound packs, and PSN Stores believes these are the same 80s and Dubstep packs which in March were released on accident in Asia. Rayman Legends video has a special rhythm to it
Rayman Legends has a new video available, showing a rhythm-based level set to Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”, only played in Mariachi form. I think I like this version better. Rayman Legends is slated for release on PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 August 30 in Europe and September 1 in North America. Thanks, Gematsu.

Idolm@sater Shiny Festa games available on the App Store
Namco Bandai has released localised versions of three of its popular Idolm@ster games for iDevice. Rhythmic Record, Melodic Disc and Harmonic Score are ports of the Shiny Fest PSP games, and are available now from the App Store for $55 each. Each one contains an original animated feature, different idols, and free downloadable tunes, and weighs in at a hefty couple of GB each.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 was announced for 3DS in the latest issue of Famitsu, according to Siliconera. It’s the follow up to last year’s effort, the first to grace Nintendo’s handheld. Sega has made some noise about potentially localising Hatsune Miku games for the west; the vocaloid has made popular appearances on PlayStation 3 and Vita as well.

Auditorium 2: Duet delayed by Splice success
Cipher Prime has apologised for further delays to Kickstarter-funded sequel Auditorium 2: Duet; it took time off from the project last year to port and market Splice after the DBA-themed mobile puzzler met with unexpected success. The team has expanded as a result, and took a little time to settle into prototyping. The indie developer said the game is now in full production, and should still take between six months and one year to complete – but with a much later start date. Duet is now expected later this year, on Mac and PC.

Rock Band: some DLC tracks removed from store as licensing agreements expire
Harmonix has warned that some downloadable tracks may disappear from the Rock Band store as long-standing license agreements expire, with some Metallica tracks already pulled.
