Sound Shapes DLC heading to PS Store in a couple of weeks
Queasy Games has announced new DLC for Sound Shapes. According to Shack, the pack contains two sound packs, and PSN Stores believes these are the same 80s and Dubstep packs which in March were released on accident in Asia. Trophies for the packs have also been floating around the net since. Expect the packs to land May 14

Rayman Legends video has a special rhythm to it
Rayman Legends has a new video available, showing a rhythm-based level set to Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”, only played in Mariachi form. I think I like this version better. Rayman Legends is slated for release on PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 August 30 in Europe and September 1 in North America. Thanks, Gematsu.

Idolm@sater Shiny Festa games available on the App Store
Namco Bandai has released localised versions of three of its popular Idolm@ster games for iDevice. Rhythmic Record, Melodic Disc and Harmonic Score are ports of the Shiny Fest PSP games, and are available now from the App Store for $55 each. Each one contains an original animated feature, different idols, and free downloadable tunes, and weighs in at a hefty couple of GB each.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 headed to 3DS
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 was announced for 3DS in the latest issue of Famitsu, according to Siliconera. It’s the follow up to last year’s effort, the first to grace Nintendo’s handheld. Sega has made some noise about potentially localising Hatsune Miku games for the west; the vocaloid has made popular appearances on PlayStation 3 and Vita as well.

Auditorium 2: Duet delayed by Splice success
Cipher Prime has apologised for further delays to Kickstarter-funded sequel Auditorium 2: Duet; it took time off from the project last year to port and market Splice after the DBA-themed mobile puzzler met with unexpected success. The team has expanded as a result, and took a little time to settle into prototyping. The indie developer said the game is now in full production, and should still take between six months and one year to complete – but with a much later start date. Duet is now expected later this year, on Mac and PC.

Rock Band’s last DLC track will be Don McLean’s American Pie
Harmonix named Don McLean’s American Pie will be the last track added to the Rock Band library, on April 2. Harmonix announced the swansong at its PAX East party today, as reported by Polygon. The developer announced its intention to cease releasing new DLC last month, and after 275 weeks and more than 4,000 tracks, it’s hard to complain.

Rock Band 3′s next DLC contains Shinedown, Tears for Fears, Kool & the Gang
Rock Band 3 tracks for next week have been announced, and those in the mood for some “Jungle Boogie,” can download the popular disco hit from Kool & the Gang along with Shinedown’s “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom),” and Tears for Fears’ preeminent 80s hit, “Shout.” Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade will be available for the Kool & the Gang Track. Each song will run you the usual and will be made available Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 March 19. PSn users in Europe will get the tracks March 20.

HarmoKnight hits eShop in Europe at end of March, demo out March 21
HarmoKnight will release in Europe for 3DS at the end of the month. The rhythm platformer from Pokémon developer GameFreak, currently has a demo available through the NA eShop, and the game will be released in both regions through the eShop on March 28. The demo will be made available in Europe on March 21 (thanks, Gamesta).
