Report – Twisted Metal film sealed with multi-million dollar deal
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance co-director Brian Taylor has reportedly signed onto a live-action Twisted Metal film as his first solo production.

Namco pushes Ridge Racer Unbounded to end of March
Namco’s confirmed to Eurogamer that its delayed Ridge Racer Unbounded by four weeks. Originally due on March 2 in Europe, it’ll now release on March 30. The publisher said to EG the delay was so that Finnish developer Bugbear could get “a little bit of extra time to optimise the game.”
Unbounded steps outside the arcade racer’s typical route, into realms inspired by Burnout and Split/Second. It’ll arrive on PS3, 360 and PC.

GT5 gets update 2.05 this week
Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed Polyphony will release version 2.05 of Gran Turismo 5 this week, beginning from Japan tomorrow. The update, which will spread to Europe on Thursday following the Asian release, will stablise gameplay and fix bugs for online.

Toy Fair hints at Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing sequel
New Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing toys were spotted at the New York Toy Fair this weekend, and Kotaku reports a booth attendent said a sequel to the kart racing title is on the way. We’ve asked Sega for official word. The first game released on practically every possible format in February 2010 and drew a reasonably warm response.

Ridge Racer: Unbounded behind the scenes video goes drifting
Namco Bandai’s released the first behind the scenes video for Ridge Racer: Unbounded, featuring developer Bugbear going drifting on a race track in Finland. If past games are light-based games, Unbounded will be “the dark game,” according to lead designer Karri Kiviluoma. Get it below the break.

Report: LittleBigPlanet Cart Racing and Move steering wheel peripheral announced
US retailer Future Shop has tweeted that Sony announced “LittleBigPlanet Cart Racing” during a Destination PlayStation event today, as well as a new Move steering wheel peripheral. The game also supports 3D, and we’re going to assume for the moment the game contains kart racing of some sort. That’s all that’s known at the moment, but we’ll keep you posted as more information is available.

Gran Turismo 5 patch due February 7
Producer Kazunori Yamauchi has announced via Twitter , as translated by Andriasang, that the next title update for Gran Turismo 5 is due on February 7. No details have emerged regarding the patch, which will likely bring the racer to version 2.04. the PlayStation 3 exclusive launched in November 2010 and has continued to evolve through patches and DLC.

Motorstorm RC video shows off competitive online play
Sony’s released a brand new video of Motorstorm RC, detailing the mini-racer’s online capabilities. Game director Paul Rustchynsky shows off how players can set fastest times around certain race types such as Hot Lap, while their friends try and outdo their previous attempts. Motorstorm RC will launch as part of the Vita EU release on February 22. There’ll also be a PS3 version.

Trials Evolution trailer goes boom, boom and more boom
RedLynx’s released a new trailer of Trials Evolution, days after an unfinished build of the game leaked online. The video shows the basic aspects, as well as multiplayer and its creation tool that allows you to make anything you want. Pinball? Boom. Table football? B to the double O M.
