Gyromancer and Hitman: Sniper Challenge now available through Square’s CoreOnline service

Square Enix has announced that Hitman: Sniper Challenge, the pre-order incentive for Hitman: Absolution, and Gyromancer – the puzzle-RPG – are now available on its free-to-play platform, CoreOnline. The service now features six games available instantly in your browser, with more games to come. Users can play on the service free for 20 minutes per day, with advertisements included or purchase a subscription for $2.99 per month to get unlimited access to all games without advertising. Mighty Switch Force 2 development complete, moves on to testing phase

Mighty Switch Force 2 development has completed, and the only thing left to do is test the game, according to WayForward. Good news for fans aiming to get their hands on the 3DS title starring Officer Patricia Wagon and Corporal Gendarmor. The duo join Planet Land’s Fire Brigade to prevent Tangent City from burning to the ground, and players will prevent this by solving all sorts of puzzles. Stealth Bastard will be called Stealth Inc.- A Clone in the Dark on Vita

Curve Studios’ stealth-puzzle-platformer, Stealth Bastard, has a new name for its Vita release. It will now be called Stealth Inc.- A Clone in the Dark. The name change was derived from a contest earlier this month. The two winners, who picked the game’s title and subtitle, won a free copy of the game and their names in the game credits. Upon release, players will get to try their hand at 80 levels with a “steady difficulty curve that gradually ramps up” and eight unique tgame worlds.” Additional features such as un-lockable gadgets, speedrun leaderboards and a level editor are also included. A release date has not been set.

Fez PC pre-orders open on April 22

Fez on PC is really happening, you guys; Steam and GOG.com will both open pre-orders for the indie platform-puzzler on April 22. Polytron is offering 10% off on pre-orders of the $10 former Xbox Live exclusive ahead of its May 1 launch. Fez has sold 200,000 copies on Xbox Live since its launch almost exactly one year ago. It was featured in indie Game: The Movie and famously spent years in development, netting multiple IGF awards in the process.

Cut the Rope to release on 3DS through Nintendo eShop

Cut the Rope was announced for 3DS during iDEAME Spain this past weekend, according to Nintendo World Report. It will be handled by Abylight, with original developer Zeptolab pubishing it through eShop. It will contain the extra levels added with the PC and Mac versions, various achievements and online leaderboards will also be added. Pricing and a release date were not announced. but GoNintendo was able to get a video of it in action, and it’s below.

Q.U.B.E. dev teases Wii U, Vita releases

It looks like indie puzzler Q.U.B.E. may be making the jump to consoles. In a series of tweets reported by Joystiq, Toxic Games showed a photo of the debut Indie Fund effort running on Nintendo’s new console, and when asked about a Vita release, replied with “quite possibly”. Q.U.B.E. is currently available on Mac and PC, where it sold strongly enough to recoup its investors’ costs in just four days.

Fez sales top 200,000 on Xbox Live Arcade

One year on from release, Polytron Corporation’s much-praised puzzle platformer Fez has sold 200,000 copies on Xbox Live. Creator Phil Fish revealed the figure in a blog post, thanking players for their support, fanmail, and giving him the chance to “spend years driving myself crazy trying to make something beautiful so you can run around in it”. Fez arrives on PC on May 1 and is later headed to other platforms, although probably not 3DS or Wii U.
