New Super Luigi U screenshots have been posted over on Siliconera. The shots provide you with a look at some of the various worlds and stage included in the platformer. New Super Luigi U will release as a standalone title on August 25 in the US and on July 26 in Europe. It will land as DLC for New Super Marios Bros. U in both regions on June 20. As DLC it will run you $19.99 and $29.99 as a retail version.

Dust: An Elysian Tail will be released on Steam next week, according to developers Dean Dodrill and Alex Kain. The game has been available for Xbox Live for quite some time now, but come May 24, PC users will finally be able to play it. Hit up Steam for more information.

The original Sonic the Hedgehog is now available on Google Play for Android devices, priced at $3. This isn’t just a quick and dirty port, either, but a Retro-Engine remake from fan turned pro Christian “The Taxman” Whitehead. It boasts widescreen support at 60FPS, a remastered soundtrack, leaderboards, achievements, Time Attack mode, and playable Knuckles and Tails. The iOS version has been updated to add in these extra features, too.

Battleblock Theater is celebrating Mother’s Day with a free prisoner named Rose. In order to collect Rose, all you need to do is log into Xbox Live and play the full version of the game. Rose will be around from now until Thursday, May 16. Via >playXBLA.

Sony Japan Studio has released an adorable video for Puppeteer, showing off some gameplay. It’d below, courtesy of GamesHQMedia. There’s also a video below, which features clips taken from the 9 second head trailers the firm released earlier this month. They are all together in one nice look for you now. Mutant Mudds Deluxe development has neared its end, and Renegade Kid is ready to submit the improved version of the original for Wii U to Nintendo for certification. The news was announced via the firm’s Jools Watsham on Twitter. The Wii U version of the game comes with new levels, all DLC released for the original version, off-TV play, and more. Rayman Legends has a new video available, showing a rhythm-based level set to Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”, only played in Mariachi form. I think I like this version better. Rayman Legends is slated for release on PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 August 30 in Europe and September 1 in North America. Thanks, Gematsu.
