Rumor – Guild Wars 2 launches June 28 according to retail flyer
Guild wars 2 could launch on June 28 if a pre-order promotional flyer posted by a Fry’s retailer in Texas is any indication. Kotaku, which obtained a shot of the flyer, contacted NCsoft on the matter which responded: “We have not released an official launch date within 2012 as feedback from our closed and open marketing betas will help us determine an exact release date. We will release Guild Wars 2 when it is ready.” Earlier this month GameSpot put up a placeholder date of June 26 for the MMO, which is currently still in beta. Neither NCsoft nor ArenNet have announced a concrete date for the anticipated title, but has previously confirmed it will be released sometime this year.

Blood being patched into TERA next week
The European publisher of TERA has told Eurogamer a patch will be implemented next week adding a blood detail slider to the MMO, but the blood splatter will be less pronounced than in the US version. The patch will also add the Emblems feature, which was cut before launch due to uploaded Emblems storing on a player’s hard drive. When coming across another player in the game, it would automatically store the other players Emblem obn the drive as well. Frogster considered this a “high threat in terms of security, in case someone wanted to upload a virus,” but not the system has been re-implemented and Emblems will now be stored in the client memory instead.

The new client works “best on a 5MBps or better connection,” and so those who have a slower connection should let the patch complete before attempting to launch the client. An in-game download indicator will show the current status of your download, and will disappear when the client is fully updated. Get more information through the RIFT forums.
