Wargaming accepting applications for World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta
World of Tanks will be going into beta for Xbox 360, and Wargaming is accepting applications. An Xbox Live Gold account is required to participate in it. The game will be free-to-play with an XBL Gold memberships when it launches this summer, but Silver members will be able to try out a demo to see if it warrants a Gold membership for them. World of Tanks trial to be offered to XBL Silver members
Wargaming has announced it will offer Xbox 360 players a free trial of World of Tanks to Silver members of Xbox Live. While a Gold membership will still be needed to play the free-to-play game online at launch, this way everyone can try before they buy. World of Tanks will release on Xbox 360 this summer. Nintendo to launch free-to-play game not based on Pokemon or Mario IP
Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata said during a financial briefing at E3 Nintendo will release a free-to-play title during this fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2014. Details weren’t provided, but he did say it wouldn’t be based on the Pokemon or Mario franchises. The news was broken by industry analyst David Gibson over Twitter and confirmed later by Nintendo. The transcript from the meeting will be available next week on Nintendo’s investor relations website. Via Polygon.

Rift has gone free-to-play, new content available for all
Today’s the day, friends; fantasy MMORPG Rift is now free to play. Trion Worlds is determined to keep Rift fair for all players, whether they choose to pay or not – no restrictions on levels or content, and all the best items must be earned in-game, not bought in a shop. To get things off on the right foot, the developer has released the Empyreal Assault update which includes a stack of new content available to everybody – a new zone called Dendrome, a ten player raid, a Chronicle and open-world raid bosses. Tekken Revolution lands on PSN next week
