Skullgirls hitting PSN in Europe May 2
Sony has announced via the EU PS Blog that Skullgirls will finally arrive in European territories on May 2 via the usual PSN update. With that out of the way, Autumn Games has also announced Reverge Labs’ original soundtrack for the game, featuring music from Michiru Yamane, Reverge Labs’ Vincent Diamante, and composers Blaine McGurty and Brenton Kossak, is now available on iTunes and CDBaby for $9.99. It will be made available through other digital music stores “in the coming days.” More information on the soundtrack can be found via the game’s website.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale announcement at hand
GTTV has released a promo for its Thursday episode, which will presumably unveil Sony’s much rumored PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale from Superbot. The promo notes it’s a PS3-exclusive from a new developer, something host Geoff Keighley teased on Twitter over the weekend.

MLG – Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur V competitions air April 28
Major League Gaming has announced Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur V players will be competing live on April 28 in the Fighting Game Arena, during which 16 players will vie for a position in the top eight and $3,400 in prizes. The competition will be broadcast live online from 2.00-9.45pm EDT through the MLG website. Following the Arena, the season will culminate with the Spring Championship June 8-10 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Here, top gamers will compete playing Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur V, and King of Fighters XIII on PS3. Format details, prizing, rules and competition formats for each game will be announced in the coming weeks.

Street Fighter x Tekken PC pre-orders now open
PC massive, the wait is nearly over. Capcom Unity advises that Gamefly, Gamersgate, Origin and Steam pre-orders have opened ahead of Street Fighter x Tekken’s May 11 US and May 14 European PC release. Capcom took a moment to assure users that DLC will not ship on disc, but will be issued as free patches and unlocked by purchased keys. Hit the link above for the minimum specs and information on peripheral support. The fighter is also available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

First Project X Zone video debuts during Nintendo Direct
Sega, Capcom, and Namco Bandai have released the first trailer for Project X Zone, the joint 3DS strategy RPG from the firms. Capcom has announced Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be released through the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch in North America and Europe on April 25.
