Red Thread Games has ramped production up on Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey. Development of the Kickstarted sequel to Ragnar Tørnquist’s classic adventures is now in full swing, and the studio is busy hiring new staff and looking for cast members. Hit the break to hear the crew chat about how it’s going so far; heretofore unseen portions of the game will be shown at a conference in June, so presumably the short answer is “quite well, thank you”.

Cardboard Computer has said the second act for Kentucky Route Zero has been delayed a couple of weeks, which would put its release around mid-May. Originally slated for a late April release, the team got behind on development due to trouble shooting for “a larger number of players than we anticipated,” along with participation in the Independent Game Festival. distribution. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has a sneak peek video available, which shows a few comic heroes ready to face off against some rather adorable Marvel villains. The game is now available for pre-order, and a list of goodies along with the video are below.

Yesterday, Sony announced on the PS Blog that episodic adventure game Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery would soon be gracing Vita. Unfortunately the button was hit too soon on the matter, and Sony pulled it, so we are just telling you about it today. Still, huzzah, right?

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has stated that the recently-revealed 3DS follow-up to A Link to the Past has been in development since 2011 and word has it the Japanese title has a 2 at the end, suggesting that it could be a proper sequel, rather than a spiritual successor.

Klei Entertainement’s survival game Don’t Starve has launched on Steam. I noticed this last night while I was updating a game and having a chat session with a friend about The Hobbit and Game of Thrones. I almost hit the buy button. What I didn’t know though, was that the game will come with “six months of free post-release content.” Thanks to Eurogamer for enlightening me on the matter. The game is currently on sale for 10% off, and from all accounts it, sounds like a fun time. I may pick it up after all. Check it out yourself through the links.

Warner Montreal is featured in a new Batman: Arkahm Origins video on Game Informer, where the team discusses Rocksteady’s previous entries in the series. In it, the team reflects on “how the release of Arkham Asylum changed the game industry and what lessons they hope to carry forward into the upcoming release.” Batman: Arkham Origins is out October 25 for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360.

Disney isn’t discounting the possibility of adding Marvel or Star Wars theme to its Infinity hybrid products.

An image has turned up purportedly showing the 2,000 page script for Beyond: Two Souls; EGM is one of a number of outlets that received a copy, although it’s totally blank. It doesn’t look like the kind of thing you should read in bed, for fear of concussion if you drop it on your face. Page count isn’t a very good measure of how long a complex a game is, unfortunately; word count is a bit better. We know Dishonored had 40,000 words of text and 90,000 of dialogue, for example; a short novel is about 40,000 words. Beyond: Two Souls is due exclusively on PlayStation 3 in October.

Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded has been dated for a June release on PC, Mac and Linux by publisher UIG Entertainment. The company has also confirmed that Journey composer Austin Wintory has re-written the original game’s score for the release.

Star Trek: The Video Game is out soon, like, next week soon. In it, you can co-op as Spock and Kirk as they fight off the Gorn – who are more than just B-movie style monsters wearing evening dresses this time out. The game has a storyline original to it, and you can hear all about it in the video below. Game’s out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 across North America from April 23 and across Europe on April 26.
