Demo for Driftmoon now available
Indie developer Instant Kingdom has released a demo complete with editor tools for its RPG Driftmoon. The game is described by the developers as “a deep, captivating story, and the gameplay focuses heavily on adventure and exploration; spiced up with surprising twists, a nice touch of humour, and a world filled with detail.” It is currently in a pre-order phase which will provide the player with 5 to 10 hours of game time, with the rest of the game available in the next few months. American Nightmare inspired by pulp, sci-fi, B-movies
Remedy has released a new developer video for Alan Wake: American Nightmare, and in it the team discusses how Wake’s story this time around is more of a pulp-action-adventure. Drawing inspiration from sci-fi and B-movie classics, as well as urban legends, American Nightmare will have a very different mood and stylization, similar to the TV show in the first game Night Springs, and Wake will find out that sometimes, legends like Mr. Scratch, are real. American Nightmare launches on February 22.

Toki Tori added to Humble Bundle for Android
Toki Tori has been added to the Humble Bundle for Android. This brings the total to five games, including Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, and EDGE. Those who pay more than the average price, currently $6.14, the indie classic World of Goo is also yours as an extra incentive. Buying the Humble Bundle for Android also nets you with the Mac, Windows, and Linux versions of the titles, along with the soundtracks. As of post time, the bundle has moved 133,387 units and earned $818,549.78.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition update delayed due to bugs
Mojang’s delayed the release of an update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition due to the discover of bugs in the update. Mojang designer Daniel Kaplan said on Twitter the team had discovered “bugs bugs bugs.” The update is due to be out soon, though.

Epic secures iOS rights to Fighting Fantasy games
Epic and Train2Game have secured the rights for the iOS games of Make Something Unreal Live, to be based on the Fighting Fantasy series of role-playing books created by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson. New iOS games based on the adventure books will debut at Gadget Show Live 2012.

D3Publisher takes over development for THQ on DreamWorks titles
D3Publisher has announced an agreement with DreamWorks Animation which will see the firm taking over development of studio’s next three films: Madagascar 3, The Croods, and Rise of the Guardians. Previously, THQ was on board to develop, but announced last week it was leaving the kids’ licensed business. The first title to be released, Madagascar 3: The Video Game, will hit shelves alongside the movie’s release in theaters. Rise of the Guardians is to be released during the holidays and The Croods during spring 2013. Thanks, Gamasutra.

Uncharted 3 DLC and Jak & Daxter HD land on PSN
Sony has announced an update to Uncharted 3, the Fort Co-Op adventure DLC, is available and will allow players to step into the role of the villain for the first time in the series. It has also announced that the long-awaited Jak and Daxter Collection is now available for download as well.

G4 Darksiders II interview shows off new gameplay footage
G4′s gone live with an interview for Darksiders II with Vigil boss David Adams, featuring new gameplay footage for the action title. The footage includes Death riding some sort of robot that can go through “lava and other hazards Death can’t go through.” Get it below.
