Raven’s Cry, the Reality Pump action-adventure game set in the Caribbean, has been moved into 2014. According to head of development Tadeusz Zuber, the extra time will allow Reality Pump the opportunity to “create our very own image of the Caribbean and piracy, far removed from all the family idylls.” The game was originally in development with Octane Studios , before TopWare Interactive handed the reins over. The game will now launch on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on May 7, 2014. New screenshots are below.

Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive from Insomniac will be released in 2014. The date was noted in Microsoft’s Xbox One worldwide launch post on Xbox Wire. Here’s the blurb: “Expect more huge launches as well, with the release of next-generation experiences, such as Titanfall, Project Spark and Sunset Overdrive in 2014.” Granted, it has been assumed to be a 2014 release since its announcement, but an official release window has never been provided. Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions will arrive on PlayStation Network next week. The announcement stems from the latest PlayStation Blogcast. The ESRB rated the content for PSP, PlayStation 3 and Vita back in July. Known in Europe as Special Missions, the 1999 collection contains challenges bundled with the re-release of Metal Gear Solid in Japan and was sold as an add-on disc elsewhere. It contains 300 extra missions and a number of bonuses. Thanks, D’toid.

The Strider reboot will be available at retail and via download on PlayStation 3 in Japan in February, Capcom has told Famitsu. The game will also include include original content, a special video, the PSone Classics versions of Strider and Strider 2, and a custom theme. The game will be offered only through PSN for PS4, and it runs at 60fps in 1080p. Strider will be released in the west on the aforementioned consoles as well as PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in early 2014. Thanks, Gematsu.
