Nick Channon, FIFA 14 producer, has told VG247′s Sam Clay that it’s rather nice for the series to have become part of the “fabric of football.” He also said EA is proud of the fact it can connect the game’s users to the real sport. Listen to your man speak about it himself below. FIFA 14 is out September 27 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be released on PS4 and Xbox One as well. Sony has posted an interview with Gran Turismo 6 maestro Kazunori Yamauchi and SCEE CEO Jim Ryan, discussing the racer along with the series’ 15 year history and how it kept the development team in tact for the duration.

Skyward Collapse, the turn-based 4X god-sim from Arcen Games, is out today on Mac and PC, and the developer sent over some screenshots and a new trailer for it. The game can be picked up through the official website, Steam, and other distributors. Brenna has been playing the preview build, and as soon as she returns from her much needed vacation, she’ll have some detailed impressions. Earlier today she told me it’s “sort of like playing chess against yourself, only you’re always a total bastard”. Awesome.

Another day, another hope that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be released sooner rather than later. Today, a listing popped up for it on Amazon Germany. AGB has posted a screengrab of the placeholder listing just in case it vanishes. ngmoco Sweden’s Ben Cousins, previously GM of EA’s Easy Studio said last year he’d heard the game was in the works at DICE. This was around the time that EA Games vice-president Patrick Soderlund said DICE was currently working on non-Battlefield titles. E3? Who knows. Keep hope alive.

Ubisoft has released the first gameplay trailer dedicated to the Archer,a.k.a Blackeye Bowgart, in The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. The free-to-play PC title is taking alpha testing applications here.

SEGA has released another teaser image for Sonic: Lost World. This one shows silhouettes of characters we can probably expect to be in the game. The last teaser image was revealed while the last Nintendo Direct was going on, which was when the Wii U exclusive was announced. Check out the teaser image in full below. More on the game is expected to be revealed on May 29.

Arc System Works has signed a deal to use Unreal Engine 3 for its new Guilty Gear game titled Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN. The Guilty Gear series also recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and it’s the first game in the series to use URE3. Get a glimpse of the game below in action, again. The game is currently in development, so platforms and a release date are to be announced at a later date.

Epic Mickey 2 will be released on Vita next month, with new features making use of the handheld’s touch capabilities. It will also contain ad hoc network functionality, the ability to control paint, thinner and Oswald’s electric beam, and make use of the “orientation-based controls” for the camera and while driving. 505 Games, Overkill, and the director of the PayDay movie, Demian Lichtenstein, have launched a teaser trailer for the live-action PayDay 2 web-series. The deries will help support the August launch of the game. Check it out below. Payday 2 will release for consoles and PC, via Steam, in August 2013.

Housemarque has announced a spiritual successor to Super Stardust is in development for PS4. The firm said the console enables it to “do things that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.” According to a post on the studio’s official website, the architecture of PS4 will allow the developers “to create incredible visuals with direct impact on the way the new game feels.” The firm is also working on another unannounced project for PS4.
