Mail.ru has announced that its Allods Online team is working with Obsidian Entertainment on a new MMO called Skyforge. The news was announced yesterday during the Russian Game Developer’s Conference. Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart called the project “interesting and promising,” and feels the partnership will be “a great experience for all of us.” Announced in May 2012, the MMO is slated for release on PC in 2014. New Super Luigi U screenshots have been posted over on Siliconera. The shots provide you with a look at some of the various worlds and stage included in the platformer. New Super Luigi U will release as a standalone title on August 25 in the US and on July 26 in Europe. It will land as DLC for New Super Marios Bros. U in both regions on June 20. As DLC it will run you $19.99 and $29.99 as a retail version.

AGB has posted what appears to be concept footage of Gran Turismo 6. You can have a look at it below. GT6 will be released this holiday season on PS3, and “may” hit PS4 in the future. A demo is slated for July.

The Sims 3: Island Paradise is out next month, and EA has released a video walkthrough for the expansion in which the producer introduces you to the sunny shores and glistening waters of Isla Paradiso. Sims can build and customize houseboats and resorts, and scuba dive to explore the ocean floor. The Sims 3: Island Paradise will be made available on June 25.

The ever vigilant Internet sleuth Superannuation has dug up some more domain registrations, and they pertain to a possibly racing game of sorts from Disney. The domains registered vary from having a .net to .com on them, and carry the monikers DisneySpeedster, DisneySpeedsters, DisneyRacers, DisneyRacing, DisneyKart, DisneyKartRacing, and DisneyKarting. Lots of Disney in there. There’s even a Disney Speedsters Twitter account, but it hasn’t tweeted yet. Sounds, to me, like Disney is possibly looking to create its own version of Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing, only with Disney characters. I’m no psychic though.

Guild Launch will be handing out thousands of closed beta keys for SOE’s Dragon’s Prophet MMO. Those interested in nabbing one, should head over now, as they are being handed out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Guilds, as I told you before, will be an important factor in Dragon’s Prophet due not only to the PvP, but the Frontier System in general. Guild Launch is the exclusive US host for the game’s beta keys so hurry and get one before they are all out. Dragon’s Prophet is slated for a Q2 release this year.

City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

In Ascend: Hand of Kul, formerly known as Ascend: New Gods, the deity you align yourself with will provide your character with specific abilities in which to dispatch of your enemies.The chaotic Goddess of Darkness, the “zealous” God of Light, or the “manipulative” Lord of the Void will each bestow upon the faithful various spells as well as abilities which can enhance your melee damage or reinforce your armor. Dust: An Elysian Tail will be released on Steam next week, according to developers Dean Dodrill and Alex Kain. The game has been available for Xbox Live for quite some time now, but come May 24, PC users will finally be able to play it. Hit up Steam for more information.

ArenaNet has announced development on Guild Wars will cease, in order to focus on Guild Wars 2 and it’s monthly content.

Ubisoft has stated that the Wii U version of Ghost Recon Online is still “on hold” as the team’s focus remains on the PC version. However, this doesn’t mean Ubisoft is committed to Nintendo’s Wii U console.

Trion Worlds has laid off as many as 100 employees, according to various sources on the net. Some say the lay-off count is as high as 80% – a percentage Trion states is “grossly exaggerated.”

The ancient Gree starship, Gray Secant, is returning to Ilum May 21-28, and will provide SWTOR players with some nifty rewards such as unique armor, pets, weapons, and the like. Players will earn Reputation points has they “fight the Gree’s grand mission,” and players level 45 and over can jump into the event before it returns at level 55 in the future. NIS America has announced Mugen Souls from Compile Heart will release on PSN for PS3 next week in North America. Mugen Souls contains several elements from the Disgaea series, including Disgaea artist Takehito Harada’s character art, as well as a soundtrack by Disgaea composer Tenpei Sato. A price wasn’t listed, and for those unfamiliar with the gameplay, head over to the US PS Blog and read up on it – or for those who have, it will refresh your memory.
