At some point this past weekend, there were 329,977 Steam users running DOTA 2. That’s a new record for any single game on the Steam platform, beating down the previous record of ~297,000 players gathered in DOTA 2 in early March. The West qualifiers for The International tournament — with a prize pool currently topping $2 million — were this weekend, and folks can watch through the client, so that probably had something to do with it.

MLG’s StarCraft 2 WCS America Season 1 will culminate with the Regional Finals June 1 and June 2, and those at home will be able to watch the New York event live starting at 1pm Eastern online through Twitch.

Major League Gaming’s Spring Season for Black Ops 2 is now in the second qualifying bracket with semifinals and finals airing tonight at 7pm ET. The winning team tonight will advance to the MLG Spring Championship from June 28-30 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, where hundreds of teams will compete for $50,000 in prizes and a first place prize of $20,000. Competitor, VIP and spectator passes for Black Ops 2 are available now, and fans can purchase a spectator pass online for $35 to attend the entire weekend, or upgrade to a VIP pass. DICE producer Daniel “zh1nt0″ Matros is participating in an eSports charity event through Charitystream, a concept founded by Matros and Tim Kjell. What occurs, is donations are obtained by folks who watch live game streams and the money goes to orphanages around the world. The donations also help buy supplies and record documentaries of the team’s efforts. Raffles are taken part in by viewers for items donated to the charity by sponsors. Viewers donate to the charity fund and then take part in a raffle to win this object. Three days ago, Matros participated in a Battlefeild 3 livestream, which you can re-watch on Twitch TV.
