Broken Age, in development at Double Fine, has a new video revealing the latest addition to the voice cast: Wil Wheaton. He will be lending his chops to the lumberjack Curtis. Watch the video below. Broken Age will be released in two parts, starting in January. Thanks, Blue.

Planetary Annihilation, the space RTS from Uber Entertainment, no longer has a release date attached to it. Instead, according to the developer, it will be released “when it’s done.”

Stasis, the 2D isometric, point-and-click sci-fi horror adventure game from Johannesburg-based developer, The Brotherhood, has been successfully funded on Kickstarter. With three days left on the counter, 3,353 backers pledged $103,224, surpassing the project’s goal of $100,000. The game is slated for an August 2014 release on PC, and is also up for your consideration on Steam Greenlight. A developer video is below.

Ever, Jane: The Virtual World of Jane Austen, developed by Judy L. Tyrer’s Colorado-based 3turnproductions, has met its Kickstarter goal. The project was funded by 1,600 backers pledging $109,563 to the initial goal of $100,000. In the virtual world, players will invite and be invited to gatherings and use gossip as the weapon of choicer to demolish enemies and aid friends. The game takes place in Regency Period England and quests are “derived from player’s actions and stories.” You can download the prototype through the Kickstarter page.

Republique, the crowdfunded stealth game from Metal Gear Solid 4 producer and Halo 4 creative director Ryan Patton’s Camouflaj, will be released sometime in December, according to the developer. “While we still don’t know the official street date just yet, the game’s probably going to be coming out in December,” he said to Red Bull UK. The game was originally set for release on iOS, Mac and PC in June and contains the voice talents of David Hayter and Jennifer Hale. Thanks, Eurogamer.

Bugbear Entertainment has released a work-in-progress video of Next Car Game. It shows footage of the work-in-progress title which is scheduled to be released on PC as a digital download early 2014. The game has been greenlighted on Steam, and is available through Early Access. The title is also up on Kickstarter, and with 16 days to go, 2,060 backers have pledged $68,712 toward the firms $350,000 goal.

Obduction, a new adventure from the creator of the classic Myst, has successfully met its $1.1 million Kickstarter target. With 60 hours remaining at time of writing, the crowdfunding campaign has at least one achievable stretch goal of Oculus Rift support at $1.3 million. There are many rewards on offer, so take a gander if you’re yet to pledge. The adventure is due on Mac and PC in 2015.

After Reset is an old school open-world RPG in the style of the first two Fallout games – in fact, its developers describe it as filling the gap left by the cancellation of the project codenamed Van Buren, which would have been Fallout 3. The project was passed through Steam Greenlight in five days and has 15,000 Facebook fans, so it’s clearly got some traction, and indie studio Black Cloud is hoping to capitalise on that with a $900,000 crowdfunding campaign. Bloom: Memories, a gorgeous-looking 2D action adventure RPG, is looking to raise $40,000 on Kickstarter. Pitting itself as a little bit different from other games, it “moves away from the cliche of violence and domination”, and will permit players to use stealth, strategy and diplomacy to avoid combat completely if they so choose. An interesting concept – and you can try a PC demo for yourself. Check out the trailer and pitch video through the break, and throw it a vote on Steam Greenlight if it catches your fancy, although the developer would probably also like a pledge and is offering various rewards and stretch goals to tempt you.
